Alma Linda is an upraising DJ and Live Act from Berlin. In her unique and powerful sets full of special and unexpected transitions she blends rhythms, cultures and musical memories together. In her musical storytelling she delivers intimate stories right from the bottom of her bare soul. Arabic drums, hip hop, funk and soul music unite with downbeats, slowdisco, deep-, tech- and minimal house - you name it. With an open heart and sharing soul she wants to break down borders and build safer and joyful spaces for her audience. 
 In doing so, fear, vulnerability and mistakes turn into creatures she's trying to become friends with instead of running away from. So don't run - just dance!

Her work encompasses DJ sets, (live) producing and performance art. On stage shows she fuses the above with fully choreographed dances and choir performances. Through the endless variety of sounds and genres she plays, her message of boundless love shines crystal clear: in a world, where our insecurities are turned into money, loving yourself becomes a political act. Come dance with her and join the love revolution!

O Com rabeca, violão, triângulo, zabumba e percussões, o Xaxado Novo resgata uma formação tradicional do baião para homenagear grandes mestres da cultura popular brasileira, como Luiz Gonzaga, Marinês e Jackson do Pandeiro. O grupo transita por diversos ritmos, como xote, rastapé, côco, xaxado e baião, e ainda propõe um passeio musical pelas diferentes culturas que contribuíram para a formação da música nordestina, como os povos ciganos e árabes, presentes no desenvolvimento dessa musicalidade.

Formado por multi-instrumentistas e pesquisadores das culturas tradicionais, o grupo vai além da música, envolvendo performances e intervenções nas suas apresentações. A estética do cangaço, muito difundida por Luís Gonzaga, é trabalhada pelo grupo, que leva aos palcos a presença dos caboclos, vaqueiros e cangaceiros, sempre influentes na construção do imaginário popular.

Gonzaga já dizia que antes da sanfona chegar no sertão os forrós eram feitos com a rabeca. O instrumento, que tem sua origem no ‘rebab’ árabe, se difundiu no Nordeste já no século XVIII, trazido pelos portugueses. Também a zabumba tem sua origem no Oriente, sendo o ‘davul’ (zabumba oriental), um dos instrumentos mais usados nas festas populares da Turquia. Seja na pesquisa de antigos temas em sanfonas de oito baixos, e no estudo do próprio xaxado - dança que ficou popularizada pelo famoso bando de Lampião - ou através do uso do sistema árabe dos 'makams' (escalas orientais) nas suas composições e improvisações, o Xaxado Novo funde um caldeirão de ancestralidade e experimentações, retratando o que há de melhor na cultura brasileira, de uma forma original e cativante.
