Beautiful sound! On this one and the rest of the tracks as well...

I don't know what it is, but it this track touches me. May it be that it sounds to me like some kind of a fable-music... why is it sooo short? I could listen to it for so much longer. Really, really beautiful one :-)

1. A tale of 5 Balloons (a children's book application for iPhone)
in Nov 2010 - Jan 2011 I wrote the soundtrack for 2 Hebrew children's books. This was the first one.
I was limited to an opening theme and closing theme only + sound effects. 

2. Short Piano Pieces
These 6 pieces were written in the summer of 2010.

3. Where's Pluto (a children's book application for iPhone)
This is the 2nd app. Here I got a little more room to play and there is music in each page.
There was however a technical limitation that music will not continue from one page to another so the soundtrack does seem fragmented at times.

4. Flower Seeds (Michal Lotan - Remix)
Michal Lotan, is a talented Israeli singer who allowed me to create some remixes from her album stems. Both tracks are drafts, this one at a more advanced stage but still not 100% perfect...

5. Lady Falling Down (Michal Lotan - Remix)
A more raw draft of a different track. 

6. Freaky Mutherfucker
This track contains lyrics from "Mutherfucker" by Beck, and "I Told You I was freaky" by Flight of the Conchords. The vocals (and everything else of-course) is performed by me.

This composition started from a continuous 20-minute improvisation with the OP-1 synthesizer by Teenage Engineering. I later added layers, while keeping the natural transitions of the improvisation as a guideline for the form of the piece. I used additional layers using the Kyma System, a drum machine by Arturia, and the Volca Sample by Korg. Eventually the piece transformed and expanded into approximately 25 tracks.

A lot of material in this piece derives from the use of the Tambola Sequencer in the OP-1. In this Sequencer, notes are displayed as particles that fall into a moving structure. One can set up many notes that change in speed as they fall randomly into the structure. Thus one can control the mass, gravity, and spinning speed. This technique influenced the rhythm and timbre of the piece.
