Alborada - Spanish Guitar

The message of this song is near and dear to my heart. It's something I draw strength from every day. Whenever I catch my mind slipping into worry or contraction, this song pops in, like a wise friend, reminding me to redirect my focus into prayer and creative power.

I hope it can do the same for you.

The word "prayer" carries a deep and beautiful resonance for some people. For others, it carries a connotation of patriarchal, oppressive religious structures and a disempowering vision of Divinity that is separate from our own true essence. In my view, there is much in the religious traditions we have inherited that desperately need reshaping and revisioning. However, I also don't like to throw out the baby with the bathwater, so to speak. For me, that word continues to be a reminder of our connection to a vast, inconceivable Power that is both beyond and deep within us. The word "intention" helps us focus our minds consciously. The word "prayer" does the same, but with the wind of the Most High Holy at our backs.
