This album is dedicated to the creator of Naviar Haiku and the artists who contributed to its ongoing success as a weekly challenge and community. These songs are all inspired by the ideas and prompts of Naviar Haiku and the creativity of the people involved.

This collection of songs represents a journey through light and dark, experiencing:

Jennifer Doty was born and raised in the beautiful wilds of the Ozarks in southern Missouri. She was taught to value literature, music, the arts and spirituality. Her upbringing encouraged creativity, open mindedness and self-expression.

Always attracted to the outdoors, she draws much inspiration for her poetry from nature, as well as human nature. Her interest in poetry and writing as a form of self-expression began in her early teens, only recently is she beginning to publicly share her work.

Jennifer obtained a B.S. in Child, Adult and Family Services and an M.S. in Health Sciences. She has always had a passion for helping others. She raised 2 children and currently spends time helping with her four grandchildren. She enjoys family, writing, travel, photography, painting and working on improving her guitar skills.

Wai Mei Wong is a former early childhood educator living in Toronto, Canada. Her picture book Hello, Dark was shortlisted for the 2022 IODE Jean Throop Book Award, and chosen for the 2022 CCBC Spring Best Book for Kids & Teens Selection. She enjoys poetry, nature walks and funny movies.

She started writing Haiku in October 2022, after she became curious about this deceivingly simplistic form of poetry. Her inspiration comes mostly from her experience or the stories from people close to her.

Naviar Haiku 316 inspired me to pursue a Bladerunner theme.  I did my best to write something worthy of the movie's soundtrack and in line with this goal is 18 tracks, all made with U-He Tyrell N6.

Over the years, this song has taken on other meanings, and often reminds me of scene, created in my mind by a passage in a Piers Anthony Xanth novel. The Brain Coral, a character in the 2nd Xanth book, Source of Magic, had the ability to suspend beings in its preservative fluids for eventual release later in history. To this point, the theme of the song has changed, in its video form, to a peek into the Brain Coral's underwater cave.

I'm a composer, working from a 3' x 5' studio (some may call it a dinette) in a 5th wheel camper, while traveling the United States. I've been on the road for six years, so most of my recent work will have come from a different state (of mind and location) during my travels.

Music makes me feel better about everything. I don't know that I'm ever happier than when I am creating. I sometimes wonder if creativity isn't one of the primary keys to happiness. Do you ever feel better than when you say, "Look what I did."? This phrase magically conjures the purest sense of childlike joy.

Music works for every part of our lives. We all have music for when we are sad, happy, celebrating, meeting others, when we are alone, and even when we are lonely. Did a song come to mind as you read each of those situations? I remember the first song I ever heard on the radio, on my first bus ride to kindergarten. One of my favorite musical memories is playing in a band for steel beach on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz.

I love telling stories with music. Everybody loves John Coffey in the Green Mile, but Mr. Jingles should have a song commemorating his reaching and joining the circus at Mouseville. If you agree, join me for this and similar journeys. The music here is synthetic, but as real as you would choose to have it.
