Mathilde Nordberg - Reflection

The veteran Brazilian producer Gui Boratto has always had a way with musicality and drama in his music.

This EP for Zatar displays a lot of the things we have come to expect from him - rich instrumentation, lots of melody, and a deep, emotional take on dance music.

The original version Déjeuner Sur L ́Herbe combines a chugging groove with pianos, guitars and thick bass - a full movie sound- track in one piece.

CIOZ and Fairplay provide the remix duties for the 2nd version, teasing out the ele- ments over 8 and a half minutes, and twis- ting it into a psychedelic epic.

Johannes Albert also provides a rework, dialing into a more machine funk vibe while letting the groove breathe.

He has released on the likes of Moon Harbour, Crosstown Rebels, Relief, Saved and many more, all while making his own label a crucial outlet for fresh sounds. He flips it into an undulating and hypnotic roller with a peppering of percussion and mystical pads. Last of all is the Save me Dub which rides deep on warm drums.

About the EP :
Now marking ten years of releases on labels such as Stil Vor Talent, Pokerflat, Mobilee, Lena, Hive Audio and many more, the Swiss duo Animal Trainer make their debut on Super Flu's Monaberry with two stunning message of a dancefloor peace. 

'Rigpa' hits the second those strings sashay into the blend, swooning and gliding over their signature low 'n' slow beat. Timeless in its sense of emotion and euphoria, stately in the way it unfolds, it's another precision heart-melter from Sammy and Adrian. 

'Dharma' flips for a contrast experience. A drum-focused affair laced with tribal intricacies and more majestic synth tones entering mid way, there's a latent sense of drama that pays off gradually, hypnotically, spiritually…

Finally Monaberry newcomer MULYA returns with a little add remix spice. Deeper, darker and more pensive than the original, it builds into something so powerful and soul-stirring we believe it could inspire gorillas to paint water colours. But this, of course, is uncorroborated… For now.

Argentinian producer Emiliano Demarco's sense of melodic mastery rides atop this ethereal track featuring moving bass and hypnotic bells. Canadian producer Las von gives us a deep track with a dreamy and contemplative approach. Massive drops and wobbly saw waves complete this emotionally inspired track. German analog synth collector and talented producer Riamiwo, gives us a driving take on the track, with punchy kicks and snares amplifying the intensity and evolving arps taking the lead.
