An artist with a growing reputation within the underground dance fraternity, Sebastian Sellares makes his Meanwhile debut with his "Dunes at Dawn" EP.

After a 2018 debut for PHW Elements, Sebastian Sellares has made increasingly sizeable waves with his smooth and unique musical style. Already seeing his music signed to an array of high-profile imprints including onedotsixtwo, UV and Or Two Strangers, Proton Music's "Zen State / Jinsei" was a further notable highlight in October 2020 including remixes from Matias Chilano and Bedrock's Nick Muir.

Anton Borin (RU): working as a resident DJ for the likes of BCSA, BC2 Records, Bevel, Clubsonica Records, Droid9 to name a few, Russian producer Anton Borin has experimented and found a loyal fan base through the years. Dabbling with anything from acid house, and fads of the electronic music scene, the producer would find solace in progressive house music.

Bondarev: After 15 years of DJing now he one of the fastest growing producers in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He has already won the attention of many respected DJs and producers from all over the world. His music is played from Russia to Argentina at a variety of venues from small clubs to big stadiums. Release "The Warpp" EP on Lowbit Records was in TOP100 Beatport almost 5 months and was supported by some of the most significant names in progressive electronic music scene'

Joep Mencke, one of the happies campers of them all, and his soul-propelling masterpiece, Asiri, is the perfect piece of music to usher in the Spring. “Music takes me on a journey. A journey that makes me want to close my eyes and wander off to wherever the melodies take me,” Joep has been quoted as saying. 'For our 34th release on Juicebox Music, we have a 2-track collaborative EP between two fantastic Argentinian producers - Berni Turletti & Matias Chilano, both consistently pushing the progressive space with pure passion. Relatively newer to the scene, Berni Turletti's appearance on Nick Warren's "The Soundgarden" & "Hope Recordings" (through his EP with Dimuth K) as well as Antrim's "Or Two Strangers" cemented his place as a force to be reckoned with. Returning back to Juicebox Music, after his remix of "Monojoke - Backwards", the more veteran Matias Chilano's decade long discography needs no real introduction with standout associations on Tash's "Movement Recordings", "Proton Music" & "Particles". Recently, not one, but two of Matias' remixes went on to feature in Patrice Baumel's GU42 Berlin on mighty Global Underground, a monumental milestone for any.

Berni Turletti & Matias Chilano put their strengths to the table to deliver a balanced combination of their signature sounds in the form of "Alumine" & "Forgettable", filled with solid low-end grooves, soaring leads & spacey atmospherics. Joining the pack as the only remixer is another returning artist from our roster - Anton MAKe, whose remix of Michael A's "Endless Time" was one of the best ways we could close 2018. Anton's equally impressive catalog features an impressive list of associations including Cid Inc & Orsen's "Replug", Mango's "Mango Alley" & Milos' "Balkan Connection" to name a few. Anton's version on "Alumine" heads towards a more deeper & hypnotic space but loaded with tension for the main melody to shine through, rounding off the release in a classy manner.'

The first release on Nikko.Z's Dopamine White finds Christopher Fafa launching the label with a new single entitled ‘Fourty'. Acting as a companion to Dopamine Music, the White division will focus on progressive music's freshest up and coming talent with an emphasis on quality and creativity. Already a member of the Dopamine family, Christopher Fafa provides the inaugural ‘White' release alongside a remix from Lucas Rossi. 

Beginning with the original mix Christopher aims squarely at a peak time progressive minded dance floor. Warm beats and a fluid low end power the foundation while astral stabs and organic drums provide rhythm and swing. Devilish hypnotic, wispy effects adorn the framework as smooth chord changes shift gears into more emotive territory. The main break melts down to the synth elements for a spacey yet tension filled interlude, perfectly setting up a smooth finale. Christopher has also included a second version entitled the ‘Age Is Only Numbers' Mix, which has the groove open up and the drums play a more prominent role in the narrative. The emotive response elicited from the original is very much present here as well, with gorgeous chord changes and melodic fragments working in harmonic unison. 

The release concludes with Lucas Rossi providing the lone interpretation of ‘Fourty'. With a discography that includes appearances on Nick Warren's The Soundgarden and Antrim's Or Two Strangers, the Hernan Cattaneo favourite now lands on Dopamine White with an amazing remix of ‘Fourty'. Anchored by a warm, rippling groove and detailed percussion, there's a smooth yet electric mood from the outset. Like most Lucas Rossi productions space and flow are at a premium, with tranquil arps and tepid tones sitting in a perfect sonic marriage, before the main break adds a quirky flair, setting up a purring finale. A super remix from Lucas which caps off what is an auspicious start for Nikko.Z's Dopamine White, who look to be an ideal companion for the long running Dopamine Music.

Sound Avenue begins the new year by showcasing new interpretations of Madloch and Subnode's 'Lion's Mane'. Originally landing in March of last year it marked the Belgian imprints 100th release. Backed by remixes from Navar and Bookwood, the project earned praise from progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. It continued what has been a creative partnership between the Belgian artists, ultimately leading to new studio experiments due out later this year. Sound Avenue now re-visits the duo's 'Lion's Mane', by inviting Dmitry Molosh and B.A.X. to re-interpret the track for 2020.

Returning to the label and providing the first interpretation of 'Lion's Mane' is Dmitry Molosh. The Belarus based artist continued to dominate the progressive music landscape in 2019, showcasing his music on Beatfreak Recordings, Beat Boutique, Replug and Sudbeat Music. Now getting the new year underway in fine fashion Dmitry delivers a powerful rendition of 'Lion's Mane'. Always a creative remixer, the Belarus native deconstructs the main elements into something decidedly more progressive minded, for what sits as an ideal complement to the original. Atop a tough, punchy foundation comes buzzing stabs and striking percussion, resulting in a unique contrast of character and groove. It's a remarkable sonic marriage, one which makes for a hugely energetic journey, elegantly peaking through an emotive break, before an exhilarating final act puts a cap on this chugging gem.

Rounding out the release and providing the second and final interpretation of 'Lion's Mane' is B.A.X. The Vietnamese artist has found a home on Sound Avenue subsidiary 3rd Avenue where he has appeared three times. Also laying claim to releases on Droid9, fryhide and MNL, B.A.X. now makes his much-anticipated Sound Avenue debut with a gorgeous take on 'Lion's Mane'. Timeless and haunting in equal measure, it's unique beat pattern, ghostly wails and melodic fragments make for a compelling intro. It's free flowing narrative builds on a more esoteric slant as impassioned pads and scintillating arps converge as the break commences. Tasteful pianos and icy overlays make for an emotive interlude, resonating on a profound level and perfectly transferring energy into a glowing finale. A stunning remix from B.A.X., rounding out a superb remix edition for Madloch, Subnode and Sound Avenue to begin the new year.
