Truesoul Records are proud to announce the release of ‘Let Your Soul Outside’, the debut album from Reset Robot in April 2014.

Behind the Reset Robot project is Dave Robertson, a producer who has released standout singles on labels like Dogmatik, Intacto and Adam Beyer’s Truesoul imprint over the past 5 years. Now he steps up with his debut album, the stunning ‘Let Your Soul Outside’.

The LP was written at Reset Robot’s home studio in Portsmouth and is an album of fascinating textures inspired by “all the music I listen to and love!” says the producer himself. “I've wanted to do this for a long time and all of a sudden I had 8 or 9 tracks together which were a little bit different. I added a few more and asked a close friend, Tom Powell from Mister Woo, to add vocals to a couple of them and it was ready.”

The result is a full length that touches on many different moods and emotions, starting with the melodically soothing tech funk of ‘Guitar Man’. Tracks like ‘Little Alice’ then pick up the momentum thanks to slick beats and crisp percussion and ‘Sizzler’ introduces a soulful vocal element over more tortured sounding, synth-laden grooves.

It’s not all full on dancefloor material though, with tracks like ‘Desi Beats’ it allows you a little time to breath thanks to their more widescreen and laidback vibe, whilst ‘Sausage’ strikes a truly emotive pose that has your thoughts turning inwards.

With this album Reset Robot proves both his range and his dexterity – no two tracks sound the same, and instead the Portsmouth producer explores every nook and cranny with a fine attention to detail that really makes the whole thing sing. ‘Let Your Soul Outside’ is a stellar achievement.

A fresh face in the electronic music scene, Mike Harkins has started making waves during last year, receiving continuous support from none other than Hernan Cattaneo with numerous features in the selections of the iconic El Maestro.

Fuelled by the energy of countless smiles and furious dancefloor reactions collected weekend after weekend, Mike now steps confidently into the spotlight with his debut EP—a well-deserved moment to share his sonic identity with the wider electronic music community.
The journey begins with the title track, ‘Strato’—a groove-heavy roller driven by low-slung beats and a rubbery bassline. Subtle stabs and lush, reverberated vocal textures weave through the mix, crafting a hypnotic atmosphere that’s tailored for late-night vibes.
Next up, ‘Fever Dream’ takes hold. An altogether deeper affair, its Latin American feels are hard to resist. Silky smooth hypnotic vibes abound as ethereal vocals and razor sharp sonics juxtapose with gleeful intent.
Closing the EP, ‘Carbon’ takes things into cinematic territory. Airy, Bladerunner-esque pads set a mysterious tone, while arpeggiated hooks build tension, priming the floor for a proper energy blow.

The 39th release on Cid Inc's Replug Records welcomes Tomas Crow to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Argentina, Tomás Gagliardo aka Tomas Crow is perhaps best known as one half of Rockin' Beats. Formed in 2014 the duo already boasts appearances on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and have been regarded by many as one of Argentina's most promising new artist duos. Now we see Tomas with a new vision, branching out into solo territory under the newly coined Tomas Crow moniker. With a pendant for all things deep and mystical, the Argentine now presents his much anticipated Replug debut with the two track EP entitled 'Birdsplace'.

The EP begins with its title and showcase piece 'Birdsplace'. It's a journey that plays out over ten enchanting minutes, highlighted by stirring motifs and a gorgeous vocal narrative. Backed by a stripped groove, it's melancholic leanings and spiralling synths create a surreal environment, as the vocal storyboard begins to work its magic. Ever evolving and delicately poignant, it's a piece that not only touches your heart, but has a keen sense for the morning hours as well, and with the spring and summer club season ahead it couldn't come at a more appropriate time.  There are some heavenly 5AM moments locked away in this one and your sure to be hearing it a lot in the coming months.

The companion piece 'Cuervo Blanco' finds Tomas going deep and melodic with incredible results. A foundation of buzzing bass swells and lush chord changes prove highly emotive while broken beats, ghostly vocals and childlike motifs carry the piece on its blissful journey. An expertly executed main break proves to be a highlight as waning tones and a collage of indistinct vocals converge for an exhilarating apex. A gorgeous way to close the release out and the beginning of big things for Tomas and his new alias. Don't miss it.
