009 of the JKG is a real treat, Tony Quattro has graced our series with his unique sound to keep you moving during these dog days of Winter. Having spent his formative years in NYC and London, the now Los Angeles-basedproducer and DJ brings an eclectic taste to his work. Equally influenced by the sounds of the five boroughs of NYC as he is from the seven continents of the world, this versatile creator persistently branches out into new territories, shifting his rhythms and tempos to avoid any form of typicality. Tony has released his unique brand of club music on legendary dance labels such as Trouble &amp; Bass, Enchufada, Nervous Records, Mad Decent, OWSLA, NEST, Mad Decent, Ed Banger, Night Bass, Sweat it Out, Main Course and more. In addition to his production, Quattro has composed for fan favorites such as Broad City, Detroiters, Idiotsitter, and more. Quattro has also soundtracked campaigns for international brands such as Adidas, Lacoste, Samsung, Stella McCartney, Kenzo, and many more.

A talented and multiverse producer, Quattro has also engineered voice overs for a slew of triple A video games while continuing to make an impact on the electronic music scene with his debut self-releases (including remixes from Kyle Hall, CZ, Noire, SHE Spells Doom, and Jonah Baseball), and lots of new music in store for 2024! The mix reflects a return to my roots and the core sounds that continue to inspire me a little over a decade into the game. Bio:
Ricco has left an indelible mark on the Pacific Northwest electronic music scene, spanning almost three decades. Exposed to music at a young age through his Caribbean roots, Ricco got his first pair of turntables in 1997 and became obsessed with electronic music, developing a particular taste for House, Breaks, Garage, 2Step, Drum & Bass and underground Hip-Hop. Ricco’s early artist inspiration came from artists like Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, St. Germain, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Basement Jaxx, Daft Punk, Mark Farina, Derek Carter, Carl Cox and the eclectic sounds of the K7, DJ Kicks mix series as well as following labels like Moonshine, Tango, Strictly Rhythm, Ovum, Classic, Hooj Tunes, Naked Music, Roulette, LowDown, Nightshift and Double Down. These inspiration’s cultivated a deep-seated passion for electronic music, shaping Ricco’s unique sound as a budding, young DJ which later led to Ricco providing direct support to a laundry list of international acts such as Gene Farris, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Ardalan, Dam Swindle, J.Phlip, The Greenskeepers, Matt the Alien, The Librarian, Barisone, Garneau, The Della Kit, Barisone, Johnny Fiasco, Fashmob, Luke McKeehan and Lawnchair Generals.

Ricco has also held a handful of residencies in Vancouver including Goodhousekeeping at Fortune Sound Club, La Discotech at Modern, Fast Life at Republic, Bar None Saturdays, and Lotus Sound Lounge for the notorious Lotus Long Weekend events. Major Festival appearances include Basscoast Festival, Shambhala, Nelson Mural Festival, Valhalla Festival, TEDx Vancouver as well as appearances in the US including Seattle, Portland and Bend Oregon. Ricco has also played at some of Vancouver’s most notable music venues such as Beaumont Studios, Gorg-O-Mish, Open Studios, Red Room, Celebrities and the internationally acclaimed Commodore Ballroom.

In 2019, Ricco co-founded JK Gaultier with Keegan James. This venture birthed the JKG Mix Series, a mix series amplifying local talent as well as a home base for hosting club nights around Vancouver. To-date, JK Gaultier has hosted such events as TILT, MOVE, SWITCH, A Holiday Rave, Ardalan (Dirtybird), J.Phlip and INSOMNIA at the Beaumont Studios; these events have included local talent such as Unmarried Woman, IHA, Neighbour, Garneau, Vinyl Ritchie, Hoola & Lion S. and Max Ulis to name a few. The project has also fostered the launch of Goodhouseeking on Bside Radio, a radio show airing every second Friday of the month 6:30pm - 8:30pm that features all sounds house music with a pepperings of breaks, broken beat, world, afro and latin. Hosts of Goodhousekeeping include Ricco, Keegan James and Kon Radd. Ricco's monthly residency is currently at Fox Cabaret (Vancouver); a night called Cue Club Vancouver (https://shorturl.at/nFL08) every last Sat of the month where you'll hear House, Funk, Breaks and Soul to keep you grooving on the dance floor.

Ricco is a current stage curator for Valhalla Festival, board member of the Beaumont studios and loving cat daddy 😸.
