We all need to seek solace from time to time.  Solace can be given by those around us, but I think the most sustainable and reliable kind is that which we generate for ourselves, and that which we find ever present in nature itself.

Thank you once again to Chris Adams who has been mentoring and teaching me how to mix for the last 15 months.  I would never have dreamt I would be able to progress so far from where I started, recording my piano pieces on my mobile phone.  Thank you so much for all your help, Chris.  You have opened the door for my creativity.

A piece in ternary form with lugubrious slow outer sections surrounding a more flowing central passage. The opening theme heard 3 octaves apart returns in the ultra-bass in the final part

I play the piano. Unless otherwise noted, everything is played and recorded on a Kawai ca99.


Once upon a time I programed, people called it hacking, I called it learning, I can still do it, but I prefer music, etc., 

The profile picture was taken when I was a teenager in the 1990s. I just liked the old washed out look of it. They were actual physical things back in the day. And phones had cords.

I started playing around age ~8-10 (who remembers, I know i started with the violin but moved on). Over the years I've had to re-teach myself the piano many times due to life getting in the way and not allowing me the time to work on it. The repetition of re-learning has helped with the style and technique I used to play here.

It's sort of like what happens when you learn multiple programming languages.. the syntax, etc., stop mattering as much and you just think about what you need.. works in music too I guess. :)
