So I had written an instrumental track called 'The Mural' I said I would put some vocals to.  Without re-arranging the track too much this is what I came up with.  This is no longer a song about a Mural.  I went dark instead!  I cannot remove the hissing from the Guitar Tracks... despite my best efforts.  Hopefully the rest will make up for it!

This song is a raw and emotional love letter to my younger self, a message of hard-earned wisdom and vulnerable strength. I'm looking back on the struggles and mistakes I made, and I want to tell my younger self to stand strong, to not compromise who you are to fit someone else's idea of what's acceptable. The song is about embracing your true self, your worth, and your voice, and not letting the world dim your light. It's a message of empowerment, of self-love, and of rising above the expectations and judgments of others. I'm urging myself, and anyone who's listening, to be brave, to shine, and to be unapologetically who you are.

A Fireside Fairy Tale

This song came from a place of emotional conflict, where love and ambition kind of collide. I was in this space where everything around me felt blurry... all these people, all this noise, all this movement, but then there's that one person who still has this quiet hold on you. And yet, even in that connection, we keep spinning in circles, never really landing anywhere.

I wanted to capture what it feels like to choose your passion, your stage, your voice, your art, over a relationship that’s lost its clarity. That line, ‘I’d rather work a microphone than work on us,’ is really personal. Because when I’m on that stage, or in the studio, I feel seen. I feel loved in a way I don’t always get in real life. There’s a kind of euphoria in being heard by strangers that sometimes feels more real than intimacy with someone who’s grown distant.

The second verse dives deeper, waking up to noise, to expectations, to people calling your name, but the one name you want to hold onto is already slipping. And you’re left asking yourself: why are we still running if we’ve both already let go?

It's bittersweet, it’s raw, and it’s real. This isn’t a breakup song in the traditional sense, it’s more like... a confession. Of choosing yourself, even if it hurts.

J’avais envie de soleil, d’évasion, de quelque chose qui donne envie de bouger les épaules et de se sentir vivant. J’ai imaginé cette chanson comme un cocktail à siroter sur la plage – un mélange d’énergie solaire et de fierté assumée.

Pour donner vie à cette vision, j’ai eu la chance de collaborer avec Rebel Alley (alias Ava King), dont la voix puissante et magnétique a tout de suite donné à la chanson la force et la sensualité qu’elle méritait.

Avec ses beats tropicaux, son attitude affirmée et ses refrains entêtants, “I’m A Queen” est un hymne à la confiance en soi. Ici, pas de faux-semblants : la Queen prend sa place, impose ses règles, et rappelle qu’il n’est jamais trop tard pour danser, rêver ou reprendre le contrôle.
