It all began in 2022 in a garden at night. This is when Felix Wirsing and Margaretha Paulick came together to join their gifts and to record this EP. It’s their first project in which Margaretha’s poetry - consisting of deep reflections formed into symbolism - and Felix’s musical sensitivity meet to birth something new that’s full of richness and magic.
Like this, “gold mine” becomes a testament of the joy both artist share for experimenting, collective exploration of sounds and for simply playing together. 

In the EP richkids takes us on a journey into various emotional worlds, visions and encounters. The listeners are given ideas and told about treasures that are hidden where most people don't dare to look: In our shadows. At the same time, it is all about hope, about keeping it, even when things get hard or the future seems uncertain. Nature - as an entity, a soft and all connected force - remains a constant presence, interfering and weaving a common thread from piece to piece.

richkids is a reminder of the abundance we all carry inside us. We are rich in our gifts, in the aliveness and connection we can feel with ourselves and one another. It is also reminding us of the child within us that we can nurture while playing and experimenting and that brings so much joy and fulfilment. All of this one can hear in the melodic, sometimes soft and at times dark sounds and poetry of the richkids, if we become still and open our hearts.
