Raw. Analogue Techno. Techno flavored Techno. Roland 16-step focused live jammed beats. Guitar pedals, verb tanks, gates, modular patch cables, white noise, urban samples...all mixed to a techno/house grove with attention given to subtle modulations on nearly all parts of the track.
The artistic freedom to settle in, carve out the groove, paint the aesthetic, proceed with artistic integrity and intention, and liberate the music already inside. My hope is only to connect with the people looking for honest, uncompromising art, and inspire them again to see the future as we once did in the past in early Chicago and Detroit. The world is on a temporary detour in terms of commercialized techno and laptop DJ pandemonium. Vinyl...the only phuture vision worth holding on to...the last analogy to Detroit. Computers were never the future...they were always just a 2d facsimile of it. The future was only ever captured in the raw art, the rave innocence, of the modulation of machines, sample pads, and turntables. Peace, Love, Unity and Respect...all while dancing, trusting, dreaming of the future while jacking a bass bin at 5am. It was only ever about the music moving your body.  Miles, Mills, Mayday, Atkins, Voorn, Roy Davis Jr., Principle...those are the gentlemen on my mind tonight, as the music finds its way out of the liberated machines. This is me tooling around with Ableton Live.  I picked up a Yamaha KX8 last year and am getting back into piano after many years.  I hope to get some DJ mixes up here as well.

Known for his ability to move crowds, dig deep in the crates, and always keep it funky; DJ MAHF walks a fine line between artistic turntablist and party rocker. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri he began experimenting on the decks when he was in high school. Since, he has played just about every major venue in the region & has been all over the world spreading his signature sound.

In St. Louis, MO The Riverfront Times has crowned him "Best Hip Hop DJ" 7 different times including 2013. He also took home St. Louis' 2010 Red Bull Thre3style Champion and then went on to place 4th in U.S. Finals. 

He has had the honor of sharing the stage with artists ranging from hip hop heavyweights Snoop Dogg, Tech N9NE, Danny Brown, & most of the Rhymesayers camp to legendary DJs such as Z-Trip, Shadow, & Cut Chemist. In 2013 he was Bud Light's DJ in New Orleans for Super Bowl XLVII & 2014 in New York for Super Bowl XLVIII. Today, MAHF is a very active member of Indyground Ent. and has put in work on a number of releases & tours with Kansas City's Steddy P.

MAHF has always been active in the remix/mixtape game as well. Ongoing series such as Homemade Junk & Press Play At Night keep fans satisfied, but the projects to come will see him exploring even more new territory. When at home, DJ MAHF holds down a number of weekly & monthly gigs in towns around the Midwest.
