Roughly my eighth soundscape devoted to the soothing tones of rain, "City Rain Falling on Umbrella" focuses on the white noise nature can create in an urban setting. Composed from three separate field recordings taken in November of 2016 in East New York (off Herkimer street near Broadway Junction), this soundscape centers around the light popping sound rain creates when it strikes an umbrella just above your head. Elsewhere in the stereo field you can hear droplets of water strike the pavement and pool up into the gutter, light bird song, and occasional bursts of city noise. 

Another large departure with this version of rain recordings is the lack of long fade-in, the listener is simply thrown into the environment. In this way the editing style mirrors the intense city setting I'm trying to represent. As always, the sounds have been recorded and maintained in pristine 96 kHz, 16 bit WAV files. Feel free to use this track in your own productions - I only ask you cite me as a source and send me a link.

City Rain Falling on Umbrella (Relaxing Nature Sounds) [Field Recordings of NYC]

It all starts with the sound of the surf, the cry of seagulls and the blowing morning wind from Claudio Gasparini. Its history is steeped in beach romance. You find yourself sitting on the rocks, breathing deep salty sea air, and drowning in your thoughts. Time will pass quickly, though the first track will last only 10 minutes. Next, there will be no less melodic producer Khlev with the track «Ahafia», named in honor of his beloved wife. The track will add some dynamics and development to the compilation. This is a very sensual and melodic techno. After that, we will hear a story from Bitter-Suss, which will heat up the compilation degree to the limit with its dark tech house, which is on the verge of techno. Well, at the end point we will meet the arriving Matija, who as usual will surprise with a kind of minimalistic groove and some fascinating Eastern things, and then smoothly dissolve, leaving only positive emotions and the desire to learn about him, as a musician, more. Have a nice trip.

Recent situation in Siberia is heartbreaking! An enormous territory of more than 3.2 million hectares went up in flames. The forests that were recently full of life are now turned into ashes. And who knows if these forests would ever hear the birds singing again?

Current situation along with many others of this kind in our world are leading to inevitable disaster that is about to happen. Let’s stop hoping for the better future but start doing something now. Each of us can start the changes from ourselves. Each person’s help and contribution is worthwhile. Let’s keep the forests alive, plant the trees, collect rubbish, and stop using plastic. Let’s keep our nature alive for the sake of the future of our planet and the life of our children! Nature is our everything! It is an inestimable blessing we have to value!

Everything on this island is made from precious gemstones, even the trees and the birds. Ancient knowledge of the universe is kept on the island. To whom it is available is still unknown. You can see stars, planets and the whole cosmos from the island, because it is a huge floating piece of land in the galaxy This album is a journey through this majestic island.

Brooklyn NYC + Detroit | Message directly for inquiries about sampling recordings, bookings, collaborations, or questions | Since releasing a series of diverse mixtapes in 2011, Stefanski has slowly turned his focus to his own ambient productions, often built entirely of original field recordings. He has released a wide array of original soundscapes ranging from brief, high-def clips of thunderstorms to extended sound collages, each project sharing a hazy, psychedelic glow. Before moving to Brooklyn, Stefanski curated the chill out room for infamous Detroit after-hours rave BAK DØR.
