Wonder Stories label boss AIMES returns to Roam Recordings with two new originals that form the Devious Maneuvers EP. AIMES has been delivering outstanding releases that span psychedelic, new-wave, italo, and cosmic disco across several imprints including 20:20 Vision, Spa in Disco, and Nang. For this release AIMES delivers two exceptional synth driven works. The title track, Devious Maneuvers, is a driving pulsating tune with maintime energy. Machination in contrast flips the mood into deeper territory with dreamy elements and swooning electronics.

The EP is backed by two excellent remixes. English producer Steve Cook takes on Devious Maneuvers with a rugged version for when the mood calls for something tough. Rounding out the EP is Lauer - Roam Alumni and half of Tuff City Kids and Black Spuma - who weaves classic trance elements into Machination while still keeping the sophisticated vibe of the original.

All four tracks work together to form a well rounded EP perfect for a variety of discerning dance floors.

BIO:
Beyond The Struttopshere is a sonic collaboration between two DJs channelling their considerable musical production experience and boundless love of cosmic chugging dark disco. Their debut EP ‘New Frontier’ was released on Discolypso Recordings in 2020 and found much acclaim among Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston’s A Love From Outer Space online fraternity, also appearing on Juan Mclean’s (DFA Records) contribution to Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space mix series. This propelled the duo to new heights, leading to highly lauded releases on esteemed labels such as Mélopée Records, Astrolead Recordings, Discolypso, In Dark We Trust, Emerald & Doreen and X-PRESSINGS, and DJ gigs at Glastonbury’s Rabbit Hole, Secret Garden Party, Noisily Festival and Berlin’s infamous KitKat Club among many others. Beyond The Struttosphere’s music is now making sonic reverberations around the globe, hitting the dancefloors of Burning Man, House of Yes NYC, ADE, Fusion Festival, Sisyphos Berlin, and notching up remixes from notable legends of the scene including Shubostar, Rebolledo, Rigopolar, Tegel Boys, Vongold, Badknife, James Rod, Julian Sanza, Roliva, K-Effect and Mufti. The cosmonauts are frequently immersed in the studio, with live guitar now a mainstay of their productions. Their trademark sound combines fat chugging basslines with reverbed guitar riffs, syncopated arpeggiators, cosmic synths, vintage vocal samples, Italo drum fills and psychedelic 303 sequences. Attendances was born in 1987 in Ancona, a small city on the east coast of Italy. He's an Italian dj and producer influenced by different types of music, mainly progressive, trance, new wave, electrobeat, EBM, industrial, leftfield, techno, indie-dance, dark disco and electronic music.

His interesting in DJing began almost as a game and he started playing and then working in different clubs and social centres such as Thermos and Kontatto (Ancona).

During university years he began studying different softwares for the creation of sounds, producing songs intended as a photograph of the soul within the passage of time.

After several years of working in sound creation, in 2014 he started his project called "Attendances", he then created his podcast series "Retrofuture" and started publishing some songs with different labels such as Play Pal, Maleante, Esthetique and Emerald & Doreen.

In 2018 he became a member of the Italian-Spanish crew "Carajillo electronique" In 2022 he became also a member of another crew "Circuits" playing in different clubs and festivals in Italy, Spain and France such as:
