If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks (and remixes of tracks) that have been previously submitted, and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

Like whistling, harmonicas and the trusty Theremin you just can’t beat mock ape sounds on a pop platter - well we can’t anyway, ’monkey mind’ as you’d probably quite rightly expect has oodles of them, cut finitely with a dead eyed swagger and an ultra sexy garage beat strut it plugs into the very core of the Monkees albeit as though scuffed and left a little worn about the edges resulting from a night on the tiles with the Troggs and laced and button braced with a delectably primal bite. Better still is the drop jaw uber cool of ’are we here’ providing for a rollicking paisley power popping sweetie cut from the finest Byrds-ian threads and stitched onto a floor throbbing shade wearing chassis that beat grooves to a sveltely harmonised flowery buzz sawed shimmy that plays tick with a freeway surfing long ryders while bringing up the rear possessed of  something of the arresting west coast tones of an early career Summer Hymns is the adorable ‘end of the end’ which arrives warmly freckled in crystalline purrs oozing from its groove lines, this honey recalls a reclining sumptuous afterglow of the buffalo Springfield in some pop posy after hours studio tryst with the Band and Gram Parsons -Mark Barton (ex Sounds) Thesundayexperience -   www.robclarkeandthewooltones.co.uk

Alec Clegg was Chief Education Officer for the West Riding of Yorkshire from 1945 to 1974. He believed in a liberal arts based education for all and held that such an approach stimulated better outcomes generally. Anyone going to a West Riding school would be encouraged to paint, draw, dance, sing, or learn a foreign language simply because it was the right thing to do. 

No-one today has ever heard of him. 

No child today escapes the grim “if-you-fail-maths-you-will-die” austerity of national curricula, academy chains and ofsted inspectors with bad hair and no dress sense.

This tune, whose first line is taken from an Ian McMillan article about Clegg, is a nostalgic howl for something better for our children.

Some exciting news from the Cafe Le Wooltone.
Today I release a song from my upcoming solo album ‘Blues, Beats and Brel' - it’s called ‘She's A Mean’ and features a live stripped back acoustic performance with merely a hint of piano (and handclaps). And production by Fran Ashcroft. 
The album splits into three styles (hence the title) based on a 'diet of old blues records, beat poetry and Jacques Brel accordion sandwiches'.
De toute facon this one fits more into the ‘Blues' scheme of things.

-a colourful Cowboys And Indians Adventure starring Iron Eyes Cody. It is about a fearless yet sensitive Indian Brave who turns out to be a White Man who just thought he was a Red Indian all along. 
This legend is now encased in song forever by our favourite Pop Group of All Time, Rob Clarke and the Wooltones. Mr Clarke tells me no animals were harmed in the making of this record, and I believe him. Do You?

'Night and Day for me it turned out to be day and night, not so unusual as these Bank Holidays go. The Wooltones Bus into this Northern city depleted my bourbon flask somewhat.  Yes this is the North West UK folks. Bustling City with Springtime Fair in the Air, the people on the street giving me that  I could almost be outdoors but the heat brings me back through the doors of my perception.
Now way beyond three minute psychedelic pop, eyes open to a Tele visual effect and some glancing silhouettes of the Dancing. We Commence getting giggy with them now. Hazy daze of Summer! Wooltoned whilst on ones day trip / night out, god damm it’s the best! Sound - Expensive - far out!
And then the Mmmaxi spins - Goes Ape and opens a door in my Monkey Mind. Am I here? Are You There? Are We Here? Either way it’s not the End Of The End. Sleeve notes over.  Where’s me tea? – Frank Marvin Tonal-Viz
