Jacqueline Ward specialises in oratorio, cantata, and art song performance. Based in Sydney, she has sung on the world stage in Australia and in the United States. Jacqueline is an award-winning composer and her latest work "Southern Lights" was recently premiered by choral ensemble, Aurora Choralis.

Live at the Chapel Australasia hosts a network of Live at the Chapel venues across Australia and New Zealand.

Live@theChapel events showcase the music of Australasian contemporary artists & bands whose music is an expression of a Christian faith & worldview

VISION

- to encourage & resource the setting up of a network of venues in every major city & growth area of Australia & New Zealand where artists & bands with a Christian faith & worldview can minister through their music.

- to provide several sacred spaces where ministry-oriented artists & bands can share God’s Word through music/song in a very natural & spontaneous way.

- to establish regular, monthly or bimonthly pre-evangelistic events to which Christians can invite their nonchristian friends as well as new Christians.

LIVE@THE CHAPEL VENUES

Live@theChapel Australasia is a ministry carried out in partnership with the coordinator of Live@theChapel Australasia, and Aussie Christian Gigs.  They will provide a network and support of Live@theChapel venues across Australia and New Zealand.

Each Live@theChapel venue is hosted by a local church and coordinator.  A local coordinator needs to have a God-given passion for Australasian artists & bands and their music.  Each venue will feature an artist and have the type of night of their choice; ie. low-key artists nights, worship artists, etc

Live@theChapel is a family-friendly event in that it starts early and finishes early.  It is a transgenerational event in that it appeals to various age groups of the church & community.

The coordinator of Live@theChapel Australasia, Frank, is available to host churches & local coordinators as a resource person.  He can assist in the following ways: -

- the setting up of a Facebook page

- how to prepare for each event

- the writing of press releases

- artist/band recommendations

Linsey Pollak is well known all around Australia as a musician, instrument maker, composer, musical director and community music facilitator. He has toured his solo shows extensively in Europe, Nth America and Asia since 1996.

He established The Multicultural Arts Centre of WA and has co-ordinated five Cross-cultural Music Ensembles in three different States. He has also performed at most major Festivals around Australia and recorded 31 albums (solo & with various groups). He has devised many large Festival pieces such as “BimBamBoo!! (Woodford and Brisbane Festivals) and “Sound Forest” (Qld Music Festival) and also collaborated on many Music / Theatre projects around Australia (currently - “Falling Like a Bird” and “This Little Life”).

He has worked as a musical instrument maker for 40 years and has designed a number of new wind instruments as well as specialising in woodwind instruments from Eastern Europe (having studied Macedonian bagpipes in Macedonia).

Linsey has a reputation for making and playing instruments made from found objects such as rubber gloves, carrots, watering cans, chairs, brooms and bins. First developed in his solo show “Bang it with a Fork” and further in the acclaimed children’s show “Out of the Frying Pan”, this line of musical inventiveness has ultimately led him to spearhead Live Looping and develop his solo shows such as “Knocking on Kevin’s Door”, “Playpen”, “The Art of Food”, "Making Jam", “Cycology” and “Passing Wind”.

Linsey’s current musical projects include his new solo show “Live & Loopy”,  Eurobeat duo "Slavka & Zivko" with Nadia Sunde, Outdoor Water based Extravaganza "The Dream of Zedkat Nabu", “This Little Life” with Mark Bromilow, World music duo “Dva” with Tunji Beier, MalletKat trio "KatSkan",  and the Community Balkan Gypsy style street band "The Unusual Suspects".
