Quietly determined and inspiring. No doubt this beats the diva pop epic version. Very engaging video (and that's one beautiful guitar that you are playing so well).

Classic singer songwriter style & just beautiful touch on the guitar.  Thanks for the story - so often I hear a big production while writing, but in the end best leaving out all the bells & whistles (& divas)..

This was a co-write with a friend, Troy Utz, and it's about picking yourself up again when life has kicked sand in your face! We did a demo with a female singer thinking the song would be good as a kind of diva-pop epic, but it was bloody awful! As so often in life, the stripped-back version seems to work better here.

Only a very special analog style mastering vst plugin compressor have been used on this track with some precise settings for the attack and release times for a subtle compression with only two db's of gain reduction on the whole final mix for some ''analog like warmness and saturation'' and a vst mastering limiter with a ceiling of -3.0 db's

Mastered, dithered and uploaded as wave File @ 44.1 khz 24 bits with max sound level of -3.0 db's (dbfs)

The Island

I'm a songwriter, guitarist and singer in that order. I play some bass, keys and drums too. I have been writing and recording songs for most of my life and what you hear on my profile is a selection of my work over the years. 

My songs are a mix of autobiographical and storytelling. I write about family, life and happenings in the wider world.
