Smooth Jazz I Found

Ballade in G minor, first draft.
Harmonically and melodically mostly written in the last couple of months, although some themes were drafted almost a decade ago which in itself has a special meaning for me since it always lingered in my mind until I decided to finish it.
Will possibly expand upon the composition in the near future.

Are the Russians repeating a new Berlin. A new (mental) wall is rising down through Europe as a consequence of the war. Why ? Inspired by the war in Ukraine and David Bowies monster hit "Heroes". The song written in and about Berlin. Trying to catch a part of the same feeling. Waving. Guitars flying. Waves in the sea.

Il met en vedette Tim Morgan au piano;  Olivier Mallette à la batterie;  François Moisan à la basse et moi à la guitare. Avec la très belle réalisation studio de Martin Larose du STUDIO SEPTENTRIO la pièce nous plonge dans une douce nostalgie propice aux Temps des Fêtes. Bonne écoute et Joyeux Noël!!

This track, produced by the Musicus Project, is rearranged by me in the combo-jazz-classical style for my duo with Marie-Christine Tremblay: MCDC.  It stars Tim Morgan on piano;  Olivier Mallette on drums;  François Moisan on bass and me on guitar. A therapeutic journey into a mix of jazz, classical, and a blend of types of electronica.  And a wry, gradual observation that promotion tends to only go as far as you push it.  At least I make my fellow musicians laugh a little.

As a retired DOD Civil Service worker, I have time to record some. I have been recording at home for around 23 years and some of my tracks are very old.  I‘ve had 50+ years in bands playing music of many types. I still play the club scene 3 to 4 times a month. Life is good!
