Tuba is such an underrated solo instrument.  This recording is phenomenal!  Love the piece.  I'll be sharing this with a few tuba players I know...

Great composition, Robert. I have performed with some of the wonderful tuba players of the past, Harvey Phillips, Toby Hanks and Tucker Jolly and I can attest to the fact that they were incredible musicians and wonderful people. Thanks for this nostalgic work.

PROGRAM NOTE
Fantasia is my first piece for marimba and another instrument. Perhaps because it is an older work, I had the urge to improve it. Composers are of two minds regarding revisions: some think that you should never revise, others revise constantly. This piece was moderately playable in its original form, but I took pleasure in tweaking it, being careful to keep as much of my original music as possible in tact.
