This Is Not A Drill

Last Train Home is a rather recently written song that for a variety of reasons features my tortured vocals.  As part of my ongoing reworking of prior recordings, I have changed the drums a bit (to emphasize the snare and kick) and remixed the whole thing for the sake of clarity. Last Train Home (2025 mix)

This is a reimagining of another one of our earlier recordings.  The song is called It's Too Late and it's a breezy pop song with a swing feel to it. It’s Too Late (2025 mix)

Barrel of a Gun was first written and recorded about 18 months ago and like a few other songs here, it features my tortured (and sometimes autotuned) vocals.  It's a pretty upbeat songs with a few different musical influences (see if you can spot them).  I just sat down to bring the snare and kick further up in the mix, and messed around with a few other things to improve the sonic clarity. Barrel of a Gun (2025 remix)

Each and Every Day has been sitting on the shelf a few years.  Truthfully, I had forgotten all about it til I stumbled across an earlier demo the other day. I rerecorded the instrumental tracks the other evening and here is the product of that effort. The guitar hook is based on the intro to "You Can't Always get What You Want." Emily delivers a very tasteful vocal even if she messes up some of the lyrics.  As always thanks for listening and if you like what you've heard, please let others know.  We welcome all reposts. Each and Every Day

If You Leave Me Now is a ballad type number that again features my tortured/autotuned vocals. I first wrote and recorded this song about a year ago and just decided to remix the whole thing and introduce a new drum track that really feature the snare and kick.  I think it's a particularly catchy melody and I think I sing it somewhat effectively but I'll let y'all be the judge. Once in Awhile is a country flavored pop song that I wrote 3-4 years ago and promptly forgot.  I stumbled across it the other say and thought it might be worth a revisit. Again I have remixed the song for clarity, added some new keyboards, and redid the drums completely. I also shortened it significantly and autotuned the crap out of my tortured vocals and this is the final product. As the Lines on My Face Grow Deeper was written and demoed when I was considerably younger and actually had little perspective on life.  This is one of the final remixes that I will be undertaking of previously recorded songs.  Emily sings very nicely on his one.  For this mix, I have added some new keyboards, and rethought the drum track.  I have also remixed the song to improve sonic clarity.
