 Superduo Artificial Intelligence are back at the forefront of the Drum & Bass scene in a new era of releases as they continue to carve a truly unique position in the Drum & Bass scene with their consistently progressive sound. Their debut album for Metalheadz Timeline dropped at the end of last yeargaining widespread critical acclaim and the outstanding follow-up EP “Shrine” which hit the official national charts this summer, are testament to their unrivalled heavyweight status.

 

The unstoppable London duo comprising Glenn Herweijer and Zula Warner have recently raised the bar. Their newly sharpened unique production style can be heard in their latest material ,which combines the current digital sheen of modern electronica with classic vintage sound bites. Forward thinking and cutting edge, the A.I. identity remains in tact, always repping for the full spectrum with an inimitable quality all their own.

 

Upcoming productions soon to be unleashed include a follow up EP on Metalheadz and Integral dropping later this year aswell as a highly anticipated third studio album in the making.

The latest A.I. DJ sets have also been creating a huge buzz of late. Full of fresh and exclusive material, they now feature a heavy percentage of forthcoming originals and have the sole exclusive on Dawn Wall @ Mohican Sun musical fire on their own Integral Records imprint - one of the most talked about labels of the moment. Seamlessly transitioning from one spectrum to the next, the signature A.I. journey is always guaranteed to showcase future DnB anthems; from smooth, soulful, musical, rolling vibes to massive, bass-heavy, epic grit and each selection sufficiently packed with dancefloor weight. With an ever-expanding number of DJ dates across the world, Artificial Intelligence assure their position as one of the leading lights in Drum & Bass.

It was back in 2005 with "Desperado," Warner and Herweijer first hit international acclaim; their mesmeric tune was hailed as Radio 1’s esteemed accolade: Number 1 Drum & Bass Tune of The Year and remains one of the greatest DnB tracks of all-time. In that same year their single "Uprising" was voted by the public as the biggest DnB track of the year (BBC Radio 1).

 

With a consistent discog of legendary tunes such as “Uprising”, “Bloodlines”, “Days Of Rage” and “Pass The Buck (feat. DRS)” their portfolio spans the very finest and most respected labels in the scene: Shogun, Exit, Commercial Suicide, 31 Records, Full Cycle, Soul:R, Goodlooking, CIA, Innerground and now Goldie's legendary Metalheadz.

Rocketscience Media was conceived by a pair of luminaries who saw a gap in the music market for a more user friendly music PR company; a company that could provide an affordable, friendly and effective service to cater for all levels of the music industry.
The intention has always been to look at each job on its individual merits and tailor the promotion accordingly. This has allowed RSM to explore a wide range of music, enabling access to all areas of youth music culture. Direct relationships with key journalists and radio personnel (covering broadsheets down to fanzines and websites and national radio stations down to pirate and Internet stations), as well as an extensive club roster has made RSM an invaluable source of music for the taste making influential DJs, giving direct and unprecedented access to the best DJs in the world.

Ant TC1 along with Hidden Agenda founded Dispatch Recordings back in 2001, Ant originally helped out with the management side of the label before finding his feet within the realms of production; which was a natural progression for him having DJ’d on pirate radio and in clubs from the age of 14 (since 1992).  His first release alongside frequent production partner Stress Level appeared on Dispatch after almost 3 years of hard work getting their collective sound where they felt it needed to be before even thinking about turning on a DAT recorder.  After their first release hit the stores they quickly picked up a wealth of DJ support across their early material and went on to release for a who’s who list of established Drum & Bass record labels including the likes of Renegade, CIA, Advanced, Critical Records Integral, Liquid V, Commercial Suicide, Good Looking Records, Bingo Beats and Samurai Music.

By demand remix work started to feature heavily within their output and the duo went on to remix for the likes of Hidden Agenda, Chris SU, Artificial Intelligence, Kabuki, Total Science, Optical & Ryme Time (Jagged Edge), Atlantic Connection, Tactile & DJ Marky.  Branching out and working with other producers such as Survival, DLR & Philth has only furthered experience Ant’s skills at the controls over the years, Ant has also released his own solo material more recently on top of remixing for the likes of Lomax on Integral Records.  In 2014 Ant realised a lifetime ambition, securing his first ever release for the legendary Metalheadz label “Hungry For Atmosphere” alongside Mako, DLR & Villem with further releases for the label and counting going into 2024.

Ant’s production output has featured on a mass of compilations and mix CD’s compiled by the likes of Shy FX, LTJ Bukem, Total Science, AI, Spectrasoul, Klute and Brian G.  Additionally his work has featured very heavily within the radio shows of Friction, Grooverider, Fabio, Goldie, Bailey & Rene LaVice on their respective BBC Radio 1 slots over the years as well as BBC 1Xtra where Ant once hosted his own one-off 4 hour show, he has since additionally made 2 guest DJ appearances for DJ Friction on his Radio 1 show.  His DJ’ing work has seen him play all over the globe from Adelaide to Los Angeles, from Hong Kong to Sarajevo, Vancouver to Bangkok and last but by no means least regularly UK and EU wide. Additionally for the most part of the decade beyond 2010 Ant also worked as the Artist Manager for both Outlook and Dimensions Festival in Croatia, leading up the booking process, budgets and travel aspects for the festival.

Fast forward through to 2024; Ant is now responsible for the lead label management roles of both Metalheadz & Dispatch Recordings and is based in Thailand, with a purpose built studio room recently finished the plan (alongside managing a mass of planned record label releases) is to get back to focusing on writing music more consistently than he ever has previously.

D Style was set up in 2002 as a vehicle for D*Minds to release their own tracks. Since then the label has been responsible for the release of genre-defining productions and they continue to be seen as game changers of the DnB scene.

Their first signing TC, under the guidance of the label, has become one of the biggest artists in dance music. In addition to TC, the label has seen releases from the likes of DJ Marky, Prime Cuts, Jakes and Caspa, who provided one of the biggest dance tracks in recent years with his remix of TC's 'Where's My Money'. Other notable releases include the TC's drum and bass anthems 'Deep' and 'Rockstar', along with D*Minds' 'Ho Bass' and 'T-10' Remixes.

D*Minds continue to split their time across their studio productions, the running of D Style's sister labels, Stereotype and Hench, and running one of the UK's biggest dance events, RUN.

Maintaining the ethos of releasing the biggest and baddest tracks for the bass-loving masses, D Style remains one of the most forward-thinking independent music labels in the UK. The label is sure to be pulling more rabbits from its hat for years to come.
