Rodrigo Bussad is the winner of the 2014 American Prize in Composition category in the Student Chamber Music Division with the work Loin. He was also winner of the same competition in two other occasions.

Bussad is the winning composer of the 2017 Ukho Ensemble Workshop and the 2015 Valencia International Performance Academy (VIPA).

He has his works premiered on three continents and selected for Music festivals and conferences such as the IRCAM’S Manifeste, Ukho Ensemble Workshop, Mise-en Festival, Composit, SoundSCAPE Festival among others. His music has travelled the Americas, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Moldova, Taiwan and Korea.Renowned ensembles highlighting the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Frost Symphony Orchestra, Spektral Quartet, Imani Winds, Ukho Ensemble, Brower Trio:B3, Ensemble motoContraio, cross.art Ensemble, Ensemble Paramirabo, NanaFormosa Percussion Duo, and performers such as Svet Stoyanov, Ermis Theodorakis, Allison Balcetis, Céline Papion, Maria Sumareva, Daniel Pesca and Pedro Gadelha, have commissioned/worked with him.
Bussad is currently pursuing his PhD degree in Composition at The University of Chicago.

Nicolas Tourney (born in Paris in 1982) is an experimental musician, intermedia artist and owner of the independent label Snow in Water Records. Through his scores/writings, workshops, and recordings, his musical approach is focused on direct perception, listening aesthetics, and human relationship to noise. Searching for a sound practice which draws the outlines of an idiom that questions the boundaries of the audible, his soundworks have been broadcast since 2018, and he has released 30 albums at a dozen labels in Europe and North America (MuteAnt Sounds, Diffuse Reality, Pan y Rosas Discos, Anticipating Nowhere Records, amongst others).

Seuil Optique, duo of Sig Valax and Nicolas Tourney, originally dedicated themselves to musical practice in complete darkness, where each sound was generated without any visual aid. This method allowed the duo to develop an acute sensitivity to the acoustic properties of their instruments and the surrounding space. Seuil Optique is interested in the physical properties of sound, intuitively manipulates machines, and creates immersive sound environments. The two musicians invite the audience to active listening and total immersion. Their philosophy is based on the idea that music is not just to be heard, but to be experienced as a complete sensory experience.
Seuil Optique builds frescoes where electronic impulses, slow gestures and acoustic responses intersect: each of their albums, tells the story of an eyeless camera, of a journey beyond the screen. An ephemeral present filled with the memory of this interior film that everyone projects on their eyelids in the evening.

The annual Composers Conference is dedicated to helping all participants – Fromm Foundation Composer Fellows, Fromm Foundation Contemporary Performance Institute Fellows, and Chamber Music Workshop participants – hone their musical craft through seminars, coaching, masterclasses, recording, and performance opportunities.

Founded nearly 80 years ago, the Composers Conference has sought, through learning and adapting, to be an inclusive, collaborative environment that promotes the exploration, creation, and performance of music. We remain committed to a culture where all voices and visions can be seen, heard, and nurtured.

The evolution of Angelos Mavros’ music began with organ and harmony lessons at a very young age, back in 1991. His professional career began in 1999, when he started creating music on his home computer.

For more than two decades, Angelos continued releasing electronic music under the aliases @OutSid3r and @DJOpenSource.

In 2020, Angelos broke down the walls between “electronic” and “organic” music, adding live instruments to enhance the cinematic feel of his pieces. This marked the blossoming of his lifelong passion for instrumental music, as he began releasing orchestral compositions under his real name and a new label: Partituræ Immortales.
