Police in Paris is a Belarusian hard-techno duo founded by two childhood friends who began experimenting with music back in their school days.

Over time, the duo honed their signature sound and electrifying live performances, landing deals with top labels such as —Spinnin’ Records and Barong Family. In 2022, Police in Paris performed at Tomorrowland, one of the world’s largest electronic music festivals. In 2024, their track was featured in the A24 film “Baby Girl,” starring Nicole Kidman and Antonio Banderas, further cementing their international reputation.

With millions of streams under their belt, Police in Paris has collaborated with artists like Yellow Claw, Poltergeist, and Wukong, and received coverage from DJ MAG and BBC. Further more guys co-produced over 100+ for major artists, which speaks of their ability to feel music, which is in great demand.

Police in Paris are known for their high-energy live performances, which have earned them a dedicated fan base. Their dynamic live sets and catchy tracks continue to attract fans, making them a standout act in the industry.

Born and raised in the South of London, Mista Matthews (formerly known as 99dB), started his musical journey when he was just 11 years old, when he discovered a Drum & Bass record collection belonging to his Dad. It was at this moment that Franz knew he wanted to be part of 'The Scene'.

He first became interested in the UK Garage music scene in 2001. In 2002, his Mum and Dad bought his first set of turntables. 

By the time he was 13 years old, he was already receiving his first club gigs. He did various warm up sets in clubs hosting major names such as DJ EZ, Matt Jam Lamont, Norris Da Boss and many more. It was after this point when he started getting gigs at various venues abroad including clubs in Spain & Cyprus.

Burr Oak is the collaborative Drum & Bass project of French producers The Clamps and Opsen (formerly of Signs), uniting their visions around a dark, cinematic strain of Neurofunk. With releases on imprints such as Trendkill, Eatbrain, Blackout and Cause4Concern, they craft high-impact music where ruthless sound design, rock energy and emotive songwriting collide.

Their debut album "Somewhere We Belong" on Eatbrain marked a turning point, an 18-track odyssey that firmly positioned Burr Oak at the forefront of modern neurofunk. The record unfolds as a narrative built around their outlaw alter egos Scruggs and Sonny Jim, blending worldbuilding, dystopian atmospheres and dancefloor pressure into a cohesive universe.

Through a series of EPs, including "Hawkeye" and "Zero Alpha", and their remixed LP "Somewhere It’s Reborn", Burr Oak has continued to expand this sonic lore, pushing their hybrid of industrial textures, emotional melodies and razor-sharp groove. Their catalogue extends further via collaborations and remixes for labels like Blackout and Evolution Chamber, notably the single "I Want You" with Magnetude and their acclaimed remix of Pythius' "Erase Me" on Blackout, which brought a particularly fresh and forward-thinking twist to the original, alongside numerous high-profile reworks for scene heavyweights.

Rooted in the intensity of 90s alternative music and driven by a "music for the struggled generations" ethos, Burr Oak treats each release as a self-contained chapter: a blend of narrative, sound design and impact that looks unapologetically toward the future of Drum & Bass.
