Never was a fan of hope, but when writing this piece, it felt somewhat... natural. Maybe it's the uncertain time we live in or maybe it's me getting older, but nevertheless, I have hope. I wish you find it too in whichever aspect of your life that seems to lack it at the moment.

It's sad to see the close ones leave, especially those that are better than us. People seek solace in many different things (drugs, religion, etc), yet I've always found comfort in thinking that whatever lies on the other side must be better than where we are now.

A Better Place

Perhaps the most important and significant speech made by any human being. If you feel stressed, tired, weighed down by the everyday problems, have a listen and process that.

3 years ago I wrote this song back when I was using Garage Band and an acoustic guitar with effects on top (yikes). As I ran into creative slump I decided to remaster that song with proper guitar, DAW and plugins. Was it worth it? We'll see.

P.S. 'Time' in the title is a reference to Hans Zimmer's 'Time' theme from 'Inception'. I liked it so much I had to borrow chord progression from it and a few melodic references.

Recently, I visited Nazaré, Portugal for a quick vacay, little did I know how therapeutic it would be that would make me write this song, trying to embody how I felt in that moment. 

Standing on the cliffs, watching the waves crash with an almost divine intensity, I felt something click. That moment became the seed of this song. Its calm and chaos, its beauty and danger, its invitation and warning. 'Nazaré' is about that paradox—how something can hold peace and power in the same breath.
