John Mackey is a composer currently based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  He's also lived in New York, Austin, Los Angeles, and Ohio, but he prefers not to talk about Ohio.

As a frequent collaborator, John has worked with a diverse range of artists, from the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps to choreographer David Parsons, from the Alvin Ailey Dance Company to the US Olympic Synchronized Swim Team. (The team won a bronze medal in the 2004 Athens Olympics performing to Mackey's work for clarinet and percussion, "Damn.")

John has served as a Meet-The-Composer/American Symphony Orchestra League Composer In Residence with the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphony and with the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra. He has been Composer In Residence at the Vail Valley Music Festival in Vail, Colorado, and in 2005, at the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music.  He returns to Cabrillo this summer for  performances of his trombone concerto, "Harvest," conducted by Marin Alsop, with trombonist Joseph Alessi of the New York Philharmonic.

John holds degrees from The Juilliard School and The Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied with John Corigliano and Donald Erb, respectively.

Eric has inspired millions as composer, conductor, innovator, broadcaster and charismatic public speaker. His compositions rank among the most popular and frequently performed of the early 21st century, their reach broadened since 2010 by the extraordinary success of his online Virtual Choir project. Light & Gold, his first album as composer and conductor, won the 2012 Grammy® Award for Best Choral Recording and instantly topped the US and UK classical album charts.

Born in Nevada, he discovered a passion for choral music while studying at UNLV and he began composing soon after. He went on to study at the Juilliard School of Music in New York under John Corigliano. Many of his choral compositions, Cloudburst, Lux Aurumque and Sleep among them, have entered the standard choral repertoire and his orchestral music has been performed by some of the world’s most distinguished orchestras both sides of the Atlantic. Eric is currently Composer-in-Residence at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University, UK.

A distinguished speaker, Eric has been invited to address the UN Leaders Programme, give the closing plenary at Davos World Economic Forum and to speak for UNICEF and Google among others. He has appeared twice on the main stage at the global TED conference in Long Beach CA, earning standing ovations on both occasions. Recent Virtual Choir projects include ‘Glow’ written for the Winter Dreams holiday show at Disneyland© Adventure California and the Virtual Youth Choir, in association with UNICEF, which premiered at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. Broadcast live to 119 countries worldwide, Eric made his iTunes Festival debut with his professional choir in 2014, inviting multi award-winning composer and conductor Hans Zimmer to join him on stage. The performance was consequently released as a live album. Eric returned to the Minnesota Orchestra for a second residency in 2015 culminating in three performances at Orchestra Hall.


Jonathan Newman composes music rich with rhythmic drive and intricate sophistication, creating broadly colored musical works that incorporate styles of pop, blues, jazz, folk, and funk into otherwise classical models. Trained as a pianist, trombonist, and singer, his work is informed by an upbringing performing in orchestras, singing in jazz choirs, playing in marching bands, and accompanying himself in talent shows. From opera to bubblegum pop, Newman delivers a new perspective on American concert music. Recent work includes MASS, a large-scale project with texts by poet Victoria Chang which premiered in 2018 with The Choir of Trinity Wall Street as part of their Mass Reimaginings commissioning program. In 2016 he was appointed Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras Composer-in-Residence; CYSO’s 2011 commission BLOW IT UP, START AGAIN has been performed by orchestras worldwide, including the Minnesota Orchestra, the Toronto Symphony, the 2015 Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the 2015 BBC Proms. He is currently working with playwright Gary Winter on an imaginary ballet suite project for the Florida State University Wind Orchestra. He resides in Virginia, where he serves as Director of Composition & Coordinator of New Music at Shenandoah Conservatory.

Schux Famicom (a.k.a. Justin Stewart) was born and raised in Metro-Detroit. He has worked with many different musicians in Detroit over the years in many different genres. Living in Detroit during the electronic-revival of the late 90s and early 00s, brought Schux Famicom to DJing in Detroit, and found himself surrounded and influenced by many other talented Detroit producers and DJs. His eclectic taste of music and deep knowledge of many different genres inspired his mix to be whatever he thought would make the crowd groove. Schux Famicom was armed with a deep love for hip-hop and Detroit techno running thru his soul, and his electronica ideas formed from the combination of these two, and they continue to be a huge influence on him today.

Schux Famicom has worked with many different musicians from all types of different places around the United States. He has always had a deep musical connection with Detroit’s own, Chechnyan Love, as they have collaborated on many different music projects together in all sorts of different genres. Schux Famicom would move from Detroit and take up residence in Tempe, Arizona and College Station, Texas for some time. While in College Station, Texas, Schux Famicom’s love for electronica and electro-funk was reignited by local producers DJ Noggin, DJ Dag-Nab-It, and DJ Tripset. These talented electronica music maestros pulled Schux Famicom back into music that he has always loved.

Schux Famicom returned back to Tempe, Arizona in 2012, and has started DJing in the Phoenix-Metro area. Schux Famicom spent much of February 2013 working on his debut produced album, “SHX”, which will be released in April, 2013. “SHX” is a tribute album to the sounds and sites that he remembers from over a decade ago from the Detroit underground scene of the late 90s and early 00s. The sprawling composition includes 14 songs and over 50 minutes of music, from all sorts of electronica genres, but with one idea in mind, and that is to get you to groove.

Rebecca Larkin is a musical storyteller. As a composer and flutist, her music conveys an unraveling narrative that she and her audience can interpret in any way they wish. 

Inspired by soundtracks and concert music alike, Rebecca writes visual music for the stage and screen. She has been named a finalist for the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer awards and a scholar for the Game Audio Network Guild (GANG). She is an enthusiastic collaborator and constantly seeks opportunities to create new cross-disciplinary work.

An active performer of new music, Rebecca has recently been a featured soloist with the North Country Electronic Music Festival and the Oregon Bach Festival Composers Symposium. Rebecca is the flutist, founder, and director of Wind Speaks, a woodwind centered ensemble that performs music by living composers. From NASA to Steampunk, Wind Speaks performs music that responds to the world we live in. 

Rebecca received her B.M. Flute Performance degree from Ohio Wesleyan University where she studied flute with Nancy Gamso and Randall Hester and composition with Jennifer Jolley and Clint Needham. She recently earned her M.M. Composition degree from the University of Oregon where she studied composition with Robert Kyr and David Crumb and flute with Molly Barth.

When Rebecca is not composing or performing, she is an avid gamer and spends quality time with her rabbit, Oreo.
