[14/06/2024] Day of 'Arafah and the Best Days of This Dunyā - By Abu Fuḍayl ‘Abdur Raqīb (حفظه الله). Masjid Sunnah Aston. 

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

- Importance of thanking and praising Allāh for these blessed days.
 - The most excellent days of the world are the 10 days of Dhul Ḥijjah. 
- These are virtuous days and are distinguished due to the gathering of monumental acts of worship within these days 
– Prayer, Charity, Fasting, and performance of Ḥajj. 
- Glorification of Allāh much during these days with examples of the salaf in the marketplaces, glorifying Allāh and encouraging the people to say the takbeerāt. 
- The necessity of making plentiful acts of worship such as: Dhikr, Reciting Qur'ān with reflection, plentiful Du'ā, Sujood, making Istighfār including the obligatory and supplementing it with the nawāfil as the rewards for this is great in these days. 
- Explanation of the appointed days: 10, 11, 12, 13, 14. 
- Abandoned sunnah of raising voices with the takbeerāt.
- The significance and virtues of the Day of Arafah: 
* For the pilgrims: Allah boasts to the Angels regarding His slaves and asks regarding that which they seek.
 * For the non-pilgrims who fast, there is forgiveness of sins from the past year and the year to come. 
* It is a day of 'Eid as mentioned in a narration of 'Umar Ibn al-Khaṭtāb رضي الله عنه. 
* Allāh perfected the deen. 
* Allāh took a covenant from all of mankind that He is the Lord and He is to be worshipped alone. 
* Allāh frees individuals from the fire.
