I SALICI (The Willow trees in Italian language) is a pioneer plant that colonizes the bed of rivers and anticipates the arrival of the flood plain forests.
The musical project of I SALICI is formed 2009 proposing settings and atmospheres from the territories of the Isonzo river (North Est Italy, border to Slovenia) where the members of the group have grown.
The project starts from the meeting of different creative flows including folk, psychedelic, medieval touch and progressive rock. Alongside the use of ancient instruments, electric sounds, open tunings of oriental inspiration, jazz rhythms are mixed.
In 2010 “Aeson Session” was released, a first EP  containing 10 tracks for the soundtrackfrom the video that describe the lart in nature festival AESON (that the band itself organize).  
In 2012, “Nowhere better than this place, Somewhere better than this place” CD is published. The closest references are those to the English folk scene of the 1970s but there is also a garage approach.
In 2015, “Sowing Light” was released on vinyl and CD for the Lineria label and has a drier and more direct charge. The song form is dominant and suitable for animated live situations.
In 2016 they realize the instrumental soundtrack for the documentary on the artist Luigi Linerio always for Lineria. 
In 2020 it’s time for the new album “The Eyes of the Unconscious Riot” release for Lizzard Records, with the Dark soulful and spiritual grain.
Live I SALICI shows a great technical spontaneity where the complex structures of the pieces become fluid soundscapes and dreamy ballads straddling future and deep past memories.
Simultaneously with the music project of I SALICI its the curators since 2008 of AESON, an arts in nature festival that every year, right on the banks of the Isonzo river, host local and international artists to develop land art works that become the setting for concerts and arts from all over Europe.
