Crash Landing (End Of Year Mix)

Back to the basics. Somewhere along this amazing journey of music and DJing, I lost sight of what I originally envisioned the FF series to be. I created Friday Feels as a way to consolidate my favorite music so that I didn't have to constantly shuffle/skip tracks to find the music I actually wanted to listen to. Years later, I got caught up comparing myself to all the amazing producers/DJs around me and lost my way. But I've finally found and made peace with who I am as a DJ.

one of those nights...

Hey guys heres my first mix of the new year!

I have to say that 2017 was of the hardest years in my life, I went through a lot of things and learned a lot about myself. I started making mixes to get myself through some hard times and it really helped me and I hope that my mixes can also help others who are going through hard times as well.  As for 2018 I have to say that I am in a happier place than I was before thanks to all the people I got close to and the new people that I met, you guys are the reason I smile everyday. Lets go through 2018 on a good note, come on this journey with me.

so glad to hear all the responses to that mix, you don't know how much i appreciate y'all listening, enjoying, and supporting me in my endeavors. so here's another one of the same vein, i'm still in a similar headspace creatively, trying to feel and work out my transition from stage of life into another.  so i made this as a break from studying for finals and prepping for graduation... here's to the feeling of always wanting to do and be better.

Hey guys, so I’m back with what you can call another feels mix? or should I say the start of a new mix miniseries?? Not for sure yet, but I know that I wanted this project to be different from other spring mixes. It started out as something that I wanted to make to encapsulate my feelings and experiences of the last few months, but then I realized a single hour-long mix isn’t nearly enough to fit in everything I wanted to do. So I decided to tentatively break it up into 2-3 parts that should also be coming out in the following weeks as well, and it’s sort of a documentation of my learning and growing process.

Also sorry if this mix doesn’t sound as cheerful as others or what’s usually expected of springtime. The last few weeks or months have been a challenging time for me in terms of personal growth, change, and just figuring out myself in relation to others, particularly those have always been there for me. This mix is catharsis for that growing and healing process, an internal struggle to admit and face a reality that I’d put off for so long. So with that, hope you can also enjoy the journey with me.

Searching For You | DEYJA VU x KOSAME

i made this set for@embracepastel 's OMNI 2 event, which is a livestream series dedicated to showcasing extraordinary audio/visual cinematic, narrative-based sets from talented producers and DJs. i was pretty honored and excited to be a part of this series, not only because it was my first time creating a visual set, but also because the story i wanted to tell, i believe, fits with the current atmosphere that we're all living in right now - how do we stay mentally, emotionally, physically,  and spiritually well during this time of crisis? how can we be happy with every thing going on?

for me, part of happiness is realizing the community we have, the support we have, and how we can find strength through each other... happiness is a process, and it takes a village.
