Rey&Kjavik - Fusion 2022 - Sonnendeck

Always a pleasure to upload my Noisily set but this one holds an extra special place in my heart, managing to play to my hearts content on the main stage for 2 hrs whilst 37 weeks pregnant! Expect a fun, playful array of delightful sounds & textures - melodic, indie, acid, old-school rave - that progressively builds to something a little more pumping as I spied that the magic Noisily crowd were asking for it. Thank you for dancing with your endless smiles and excitement as we got a feel for the new Barkestone woods. Please comment, like, share and let me know what you think! Noisily Main Stage Opening Set 2023

LIVE recording from Summer Camp Festival (16th-20th Nov 2023) at Goodhope Farm in Robertson, South Africa. I forgot to press record from the very beginning so the first track was cut short - apologies ;) 

I played on the downtempo Lapa Floor on the Saturday 18th Nov at 16:00-18:00PM and had the best time sharing my music with you all! Thank you so much I hope you enjoy it :)

Summer Camp: Enchanting // 18th Nov 2023

Here's my set recording from the @8doc_music stage at Afrika Burn earlier this year! What a honour it was to be a part of the crew birthing this incredible artwork of a stage and seeing their vision come into reality. I met some of the collection randomly at a small festival outside of Berlin last year, instantly felt like I had been part of their crew for years and had a new home abroad. Only later finding out that they are planning to come do a build at AB this year - and woah did they deliver! So insanely proud of the entire collective and the magic they brought to the Playa this year.

Since the purpose of this stage was to provide an escape from the monotonous styles that seemed to be filling the sound waves of the Playa; an experimental playground to introduce Burners to something new. To align with this, I set the goal of playing a full set under 100bpm and pushing my boundaries a bit. The set was also quite "peak time" starting at 10 and ending at midnight on the Wednesday; so keeping it deep and slow was definitely against the grain. Overall, I am super happy with how this turned out and hopefully I'll have more opportunity to play around these tempo ranges in future!

I have no content from the set (live in the moment as Burn should be). Image was from during the build taken from the now burned Tree of Stories with a major thunderstorm brewing beyond the mountains.

Born and raised in Guanajuato, México, has been living for the past 9 years in Oslo, Norway. Having spent most of his childhood in the mountain hills of the Mexican "bajío" with his indigenous ancestors brought big influence to his life. Pre-hispanic, folkloric, Latin-American, tribal and shamanic sounds conform an essential part of his musical exploration. This is for him, a way to keep his roots alive. Saul introduces complex sets, giving as result a multi-cultural sounds journey which appears to transport you to ancient rituals, always by the hand, naturally, of powerful and hypnotic basslines. Oslo has welcomed him with open arms and he's now earned the city's nightlife respect due to his consistent work. With his international debut show at iconic party Woomoon Ibiza, he's proven his talent goes beyond borders and it's ready to turn the dancefloor into the party everyone wishes to experience.
