This superb LP recorded by musicologist Jacques Brunet in 1972 showcases  the Laotian khene mouth organ — with three virtuosos crafting stunning melodious polyphonic music.

The spring dawn chorus recorded in the heart of the Forêt des Cèdres du Luberon. This cedar forest is one of the most unusual of the forests and green spaces of the Luberon massif, given the oriental origin of these large trees. At an altitude of 727 metres, the cedar forest was originally planted with seeds from the Algerian Middle Atlas back in 1861. Due to it's altitude and distance from major towns and roads, the forest is very quiet and makes for a perfect recording location.

As we hydroplane toward the brink of nuclear armageddon while Bono and the Edge play U2 songs in Kyiv, it's probably worth taking a moment to highlight the fact that this entire war could have been avoided if the US had simply pledged military protection for Zelensky against the far right extremists who were threatening to lynch him if he enacted the peacemaking policies he was elected to enact.
