I love the way it sounds nostalgic but modern

Cameron’s vocals are soulful and magnetic, Mike’s bass pulses like a heartbeat in the dark, Paul’s percussion sculpts the groove, and Scott’s guitar flavors it all with seamless emotion. It’s tight, fluid, and beautifully liquefied. Pure sonic alchemy 🍷✨ Over in the kitchen, the microwave is standing motionless before the speakers, intoning in hushed tones “I warm… but at what cost,” while probing the meaning of every reverb and echo 📡🤔 The fridge leans coolly against the counter, dispensing wisdom like expired salad dressing and muttering “Close the door. I’m not trying to air condition the kitchen” as she subtly judges those drum fills 🧊🥶 Meanwhile the whisk is spinning wildly in a bowl of invisible batter, flailing and yelling “I’M FROTHING MY FEELINGS!!” 🌀💥 The sonic moisture is real. This track has triggered a full blown appliance awakening and I have zero regrets.

Bringing back a song I wrote nearly seven years ago. The American soul -- we like to tell lots of good stories about ourselves. Here's one that's not so good -- the account of the Moore's Ford Lynchings, in which a Black WWII veteran and his pregnant wife were murdered. No one was ever convicted of the crimes. How much of this same cruel spirit is still with us now?
