Used some hihats and brush sounds from one sample, horns from that same one, and a lot of that weird synth sample. Also some rhodes and what not. Was going to put Soulja Boy Crank That on this, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. It was part of some crazy experiment to see if a better beat than the original could save a horrid song. Seeing that I didn't even complete the remix, I guess I have my answer!

My Long story:
In 2005 I came across a copy of FL Studio 4 and started making beats with no musical background, just armed with a laundry list of usual suspects for inspiration (Pete Rock, DJ Premier, 9th Wonder, etc.). Sampling primarily from great P2P programs like Kazaa and Bearshare, I moved on from downloading random MP3s and started chopping up records. After about a year of this, I felt a bit limited and wanted to explore other avenues, so I eventually started incorporating original instrumentation into my works. Along the way I began to rely more heavily on a broader list of musical influences from various genres. Within the realm of Hip Hop, some artists include The Roots, J Dilla, and 20Syl of Hocus Pocus. These three have had a very large influence on the sound that I present today, which primarily consists of original instrumentation, with traces of my earlier years of heavy sampling.
