388 Entry, (Spoiler alerts) this would be in a deleted scene for Breaking Bad where Walt and Jesse go on a night out on the town with friends like Crazy8, Tuco, and Saul Goodman. Skinny P and Badger may also tag along. Possible cameos from Jane and Combo in some spiritual form. The group will also attend an epic boxing match where Hector Salamanca will be a special guest referee where he does what he does best. Also in possible spirit form. Now that I think about it, a lot of people could potentially be in spirit form, depending on when this flash back actually occurs...

To be featured on the upcoming #WegrowWax compilation "We Got It In Nature Vol. 1". Also this will make an appearence on my upcoming project "Great Scottie", also being released by We Grow Wax coming in January.

Used some hihats and brush sounds from one sample, horns from that same one, and a lot of that weird synth sample. Also some rhodes and what not. Was going to put Soulja Boy Crank That on this, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. It was part of some crazy experiment to see if a better beat than the original could save a horrid song. Seeing that I didn't even complete the remix, I guess I have my answer!

For this week I laid down a special rule: you should include something that inspires you to create. Well, after I posted the sample pack I drove up to Kernersville, about an 1.5 hour from Charlotte to build with the Youngfello @trapbo_chad. I brought my Maschine, keyboard and other essentials, but other than that had no idea how this would turn out. I had never actually created something with an emcee present, so this whole experience was truly inspiring. We started from absolutely nothing, but later that day we "Found It".

Okay last week's winner @mutemaximus laid down some impressive rules for this week's battle. I hope I adhered to them, I'm not quite sure what IDM is (after a Google search I see it is Intelligent Dance Music). I'm not sure if this track falls into this category, but I did however only use one synth (Massive) and the tempo is at 120 BPM per the rules. Also there are some vocal stabs on the hook.

We are very proud to present the third instalment of our flagship series - We Got it in Nature. 

This time around, our always reliable team of artists have cooked up a blend of beats that traverse the boundaries of consciousness. 23 selections from all corners of the world will consistently amaze with their fresh and creative approach whilst still keeping a fundamental attachment to classic hip-hop. 

The compilation begins with a mystical atmosphere of jazz, introducing our ear drums to another dimension. We then bring a change of energy through a suite of dark and spatial sounds. These tracks shrouded in mystery are illuminated by the shinning moon, then giving way to dawn. Finally a crescendo of sounds, a graceful transition into bright lands filled with hot sun.

This week is nature week and in accordance with the rules a chill beat was required (for me it seems to be an unwritten rule that I follow weekly). I used one of the samples and ran it through many plugins (Phaser, lowpass filter, lofi filter, finally Guitar Rig). I played the rest of the stuff. I also did some field recordings of birds and me aimlessly walking around in leaves. The vox sample is the only outside sample.

Inspired by Hip Hop, Soul, Jazz, and Funk to name a few, the North Carolina based producer has been making music for over ten years. He primarily uses the Maschine blending his love of sampling and musicianship together to create new pieces. He is currently a member of We Grow Wax, an international collective of producers musicians.

My Long story:
In 2005 I came across a copy of FL Studio 4 and started making beats with no musical background, just armed with a laundry list of usual suspects for inspiration (Pete Rock, DJ Premier, 9th Wonder, etc.). Sampling primarily from great P2P programs like Kazaa and Bearshare, I moved on from downloading random MP3s and started chopping up records. After about a year of this, I felt a bit limited and wanted to explore other avenues, so I eventually started incorporating original instrumentation into my works. Along the way I began to rely more heavily on a broader list of musical influences from various genres. Within the realm of Hip Hop, some artists include The Roots, J Dilla, and 20Syl of Hocus Pocus. These three have had a very large influence on the sound that I present today, which primarily consists of original instrumentation, with traces of my earlier years of heavy sampling.
