Thank you  for visiting my world, I'm happy to share! 
I 've been composing electronic music for more than 20 years but only started this new project 3 years ago, when the band in which I played bass splited.

 A large amount of the music I love was recorded in the 70's. Among these revered groups , Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Ange or King Crimson stand out. Over the years, I've also been very fond of many diverse bands and songwriters (The Doors; The Beatles; Bowie; Neil Young; Deep Purple; Led Zep; Patti Smith; U2; The Police; Massive Attack; Chemical Brothers; Killing Joke; Marillion; Morphine; Nirvana; The Young Gods; Dominique A; Noir Désir, Conil, Aurora ...). 
More related to my own synth music production, one could find influences from Vangelis, Jarre, Björk, Oldfield, Numan, Kraftwerk, Schultze and other pioneers. Finally, I should mention the great soundtrack composers such as Ennio Morricone, Wendy Carlos or Hans Zimmer.

My desire is to be a tiny part of the great admirable family of human composers and musicians in order to explore the infinity of musical combinations that our mind offers... To achieve this goal, I will continue to mix my own set of diverse influences in my own imperfect human way, without surrendering to any type of AI composer. My approach questions the astonishing way in which skills, sensitivity, aesthetic and personal history provide the fuel and oxygen for our creativity, while chance, curiosity and current feelings provide the spark. What matters the most is the process, not the result, the “product”.
My pieces will always reflect the result of hundreds of micro-choices I made, consciously or unconsciously, that's what makes it fun, right?

Musik ist für mich mehr als nur ein Hobby – sie ist ein wesentlicher Teil meines Lebens. Seit meiner Jugend begleiten mich die Klänge legendärer Bands wie den Beatles und AC/DC, und auch der Rock'n'Roll hat einen besonderen Platz in meinem Herzen. Die kraftvollen Rhythmen des Blues haben mich lange fasziniert, während in den 80er Jahren Bands wie die Eurythmics und U2 meine Favoriten waren. Heute genieße ich neben diesen Klassikern sowohl moderne Künstler wie Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Katy Perry und Lana Del Rey als auch Rockbands wie Muse oder Greta Van Fleet. Besonders schätze ich die melancholische Musik von The National.

Mittlerweile nutze ich KI-Tools, um Musik nach meinem eigenen Geschmack zu kreieren. Ich verwende häufig ChatGPT und Copilot für die Texterstellung nach meinen aktuellen Gedanken daraus resultierenden Vorgaben für die KI und füge mit Music Lab oder Suno Musik und Stimmen hinzu.

Falls ihr eine Band habt, würde ich mich freuen, wenn ihr meine Stücke live performen oder mit echten Instrumenten und Stimmen aufnehmen möchtet. Lasst mich aber bitte auch das Ergebnis hören!

Musik bleibt für mich eine konstante Quelle der Freude, die mich selbst an schlechten Tagen aufheitert.

Music is more than just a hobby for me – it is an essential part of my life. Since my youth, I have been accompanied by the sounds of legendary bands like The Beatles and AC/DC, and rock 'n' roll holds a special place in my heart. The powerful rhythms of the blues have fascinated me for a long time, while in the 80s, bands like The Eurythmics and U2 were my favorites. Today, I enjoy not only these classics but also modern artists like Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Katy Perry, and Lana Del Rey, as well as rock bands like Muse or Greta Van Fleet. I particularly appreciate the melancholic music of The National.

Recently, I’ve been using AI tools to create music that reflects my own taste. I often use ChatGPT and Copilot for text creation to transform my current thoughts into music, and I add music and vocals with Music Lab or Suno.

If you have a band, I would be thrilled if you could perform my pieces live or record them with real instruments and voices. But please let me hear the result!

Music remains a constant source of joy for me, lifting my spirits even on bad days.

My music tells stories – without words, but full of emotion.
It’s shaped by melancholy, quiet strength, and cinematic depth.
With a blend of piano, strings, subtle electronics, and expressive vocals, I create soundscapes that move, reflect, and offer space for personal thought.

Every composition is a personal expression, crafted by hand using professional virtual instruments (VSTs), real elements, and a strong sense of intuition. I compose with care and intention – every note is placed with purpose. For certain textures, I occasionally use modern tools like ACE Studio, but always as a subtle enhancement within a framework I’ve entirely composed myself.

Kraftkabel is the artist name of Philip I. Buckland. I am a musical scientist in a parallel universe living in a studio flat orbiting Jupiter. My keyboards are suspended in gravity nets, and my mixer is controlled by the power of the mind. My cosmic sequencing software masters through the power of emotion, and my keyboards are simultaneously both retro and new.
My music originates from the point of divergence of these universes - the mid-late 1980's, but is spliced by genre splicing interludes. I use a time machine and dimensional portal to get to work.

Personally I don't play the SoundCloud game of equal reciprocation. Every time my life as a Dad allows me to listen to a song... I listen to the whole song as I want to give genuine feedback and also learn as much as I can whilst here. So sorry if I don't listen and like and repost loads of your songs. Id prefer to support people by actually helping with the skills I've developed and give less frequent yet valuable feedback where possible then just playing the game of likes. That said I completely understand and appreciate people that decide to do that, that's you and you are as amazing as I am so no judgement. I just want to be clear with you that you won't get any artificial spreading of your music from here but you'll get my honest opinion based on what I imagine you were aiming for. This has helped me transcend musical taste in a way. I'm always imagining what you wanted as opposed to what I like. This has opened up some serious musical doors for me, embracing music that way instead of pre judging it based on what I've already heard... Lose the taste and expand your horizons is maybe what it is suggesting... I've always been a multi genre artist but this has activated multiple genre from an artistic point of view on steroids for TBD! A musical tri sexual.... The Get to Down! 🫡

Speaking of the music doing the talking. Make sure you use AI to enhance the development of your skill. Getting a result delivered to you that doesn't reflect your ability isn't soulful. Be honest with yourself and be honest about what technology is and how it has come to be. There is a very questionable built in theft of our spirited art works that has been used to build current LLMs so the onus is on each of us as individuals to decide both whether or not we feed that beast at all and how we let that technology feed and enhance or limit our beings...

I've had mine and I decided for now... Only my fingers and voice will feed my music. AI needs to be made conscientiously for me to embrace it at all. I may look at it for DAW automation in the future as that will free up my fingers to make better songs but I'll wait until politicians do their jobs (we'll be waiting a while no doubt) and clean it up for all of us!

The aim is simply to combine diverse interests, influences and see where the ideas and the music lead.
