Sound Scribbles - Tunesday 6th of June 23

Time analysis of how this turd popped out: 

10am: Thought it would be cool to learn the legendary Queens of the Stone Age song 'If I Had A Tail'. 
11am: Learned it wrong and realised it was going to take a lot of work (being the crappy guitarist I am and all). Decided to just roughly record bits and put it together.
1pm: Dad wonders what that racket is coming from my room.
3pm: Psych appointment.
4.30pm: rushed home to record lead guitar work over it and then vocals... all in one take cause I'm lazy.
6pm: I process it from Audacity to an MP3 without fully checking it. Mum listens and is not impressed. I however am over recording (its never going to sound good anyway...).

Valuable lesson learned:  from never playing a song before to recorded in 8 hours = a product no more musical than playdoh...

Started off with a fully sick beat, then added a few layers of ukulele, double bass, trumpets, bassoons, clarinet, synth (every instrument this program had really) and, of course, those weird vocals. 

Mix in some lyrics written in free association - and you have yourself the weirdest song I have written to date... man.
