OFF / GRID makes a captivating debut on Life In Patterns with his 'Sonic Spectrum' EP. Following the success of the duo’s ‘Forte’ album earlier this year, Pan-Pot’s highly esteemed Second State label is thrilled to announce the release of the 13th edition of the ‘SUM’ various artist compilation. As a celebration of Techno music, this compilation showcases the genre’s finest, promising to leave a lasting impression on enthusiasts worldwide.

The tracklist, curated with precision, features a diverse range of artists, each contributing unique sounds that encapsulate the soul of techno music. The compilation initiates with the pulsating energy of “Warehouse Impulse” by Audio State, setting a high-octane tone from the outset. Ben Champell’s “Give Me That” follows, with its raw and powerful sound captivating listeners. The hypnotic journey continues with “Basic Instinct” by Bruce Zalcer, showcasing intricate melodies and driving rhythm. Chris Hirose & RNDTXTR collaborate on “Sits,” a track that fuses deep basslines with harsh percussion and pulsating synth stabs to create a mesmerising atmosphere.

The middle of the compilation is marked by the spell-casting sounds of “Keep Dancing” by Katnada, followed by “You Will Not Colonize” by Kmyle, which exemplifies the genre’s rebellious spirit. Kristian Heikkila’s “Craft,” M.F.S Observatory’s “Interstellar,” and Procombo’s “Freaks” each add a unique flavour to the compilation, pushing the boundaries of Techno. Ramon Tapia’s “DSP Engine” and Wigbert’s “Delayed” conclude the compilation emphatically with a duo of tracks that champion the true versatility of Techno as one of the world’s most celebrated musical concepts.

Each track on ‘SUM’ Vol. 13 highlights the distinctiveness of the artist’s sound while maintaining a cohesive flow. SHDW’s label Mutual Rytm rounds out another year with 'Symbiosis' - an excellent split EP from Greek artists ANNĒ & Sera J, featuring six fresh cuts and four digital bonuses.

The release title comes from the Greek word 'συμβίωσις', which means living closely together for a significant period and can be used to speak of a mutually beneficial interaction between individuals. And that is precisely what can be said of ANNĒ and Sera J, who have grown through life as partners and, more recently, as musical peers. This split EP is their first release alongside one another, and one that presents the story of their innermost feelings, with their full label debut following fine contributions to the label's 'Federation Of Rytm II' compilation back in March.

ANNĒ has had a busy few years making her mark with potent techno on labels such as Soma, Hardgroove, and Life In Patterns, while Sera J is just as revered for his tunes on the likes of Out Of Place, DifferentSound and more.

ANNĒ takes the A-side, firstly with the fiery diva vocals and thumping techno drums of 'Heal My Soul' and then the more physical and banging drum programming of 'Turn Back Time'. It's a big, metallic cut with rumbling bass and sleek synths peeling off the groove, while her final track 'Zephyrus' has plenty of infectious bounce and eerie pads to keep dancers on their toes.

On the flip, Sera J kicks off with the electrifying synth stabs and cantering techno power of 'Blue Dancers' and then offers up 'Common People' as twisted leads and slamming drums all run through with alien sound effects and bright stabs. To close, 'Delusion' is a psychedelic cut with roaming leads that bring plenty of cosmic energy to the unrelenting kicks.

In addition, each artist serves up a pair of digital bonuses: ANNĒ with the hurried funk of 'Serene' and loopy intensity of 'Victor', and Sera J with the liquid, dubby dynamics of the hard-hitting 'Intensity' and monstrous energy of 'Bodies Don't Lie.'

The second part of the FORTE Remixes of Pan-Pot’s critically acclaimed collection of singles from 2023 is a sonic journey of reworks by four remarkable remixers: Reinier Zonneveld, Sama’ Abdulhadi, Ramon Tapia and Nojre, each reimagining Pan-Pot's iconic tracks with their unique flair.

Reinier Zonneveld's remix of "UTOPIA" immerses listeners in a fusion of classical finesse and relentless techno essence. Infusing the track with epic melodies and pounding warehouse beats, Zonneveld crafts a mesmerizing experience, presenting what he’s best known for. Mysterious lead intertwine with a gummy bassline, while a deep male vocal commands the break, culminating in a tension-filled drop. Following, Sama Abdulhadi's remix of "PROTO" pulses with a psytrance-like energy, showcasing her distinctive perspective as the first Palestinian DJ on the international stage. Playful rhythms merge with hypnotic basslines, accompanied by intriguing modulated vocals and dynamic rally car sounds. The third remix is by Ramon Tapia, who returned to Second State after his track on the prestigious SUM series, delving into the darker shadows of techno with his rework of "PROTO". Haunting lead melodies and deep male vocals resonate amidst siren wails and crunchy percussion, building tension before the explosive drop. Industrial- like percussions and a stomping kick drive the track create an immersive, atmospheric experience. Closing the chapter is Nojre's rework of "CORE“. Pan-Pot proudly present the third and final part of the FORTE Remixes on their imprint Second State Audio, featuring reinterpretations by Planetary Assault Systems and Obscure Shape that showcase an innovative and mind-twisting approach to the German duo’s critically acclaimed singles from 2023.

The EP kicks off with Obscure Shape’s ‘CORE (Peak Remix)’, a tribal groovy 90’s inspired techno workout. The deep chord sequence from the original track forms the melodic theme, creating a colorful, epic and emotional atmosphere. With a big bassline supporting the groove, this track is a perfect closer for a sunset set, or to infuse some warmth, color, and energy into the dancefloor. Following this is Planetary Assault Systems’ ‘ARC (Rumble Jungle Remix)’, a seven-minute evolving trip into the sonic world of the genius of Luke Slater. This remix delivers an incredible reinterpretation with a forward-pushing groove, rolling rhythms, a hypnotic sequence and the iconic vocal loop from the original Pan-Pot track. High energy, tension, excitement and class make this a timeless techno gem.

On the flip side, Obscure Shape returns with ‘CORE (Reduced Remix)’, characterized by its captivating rolling top drum groove, stomping kick and incisive bass sequence. A plucked lead evolves throughout the track, while the original vocal sample repeating "paralyzed" adds variation. The EP concludes with Planetary Assault Systems’ ‘ARC (Stomp Maker Remix)’, a harder alternative version of the remix featuring a stompy kick groove, saturated and distorted percussions, and an evolving hypnotic percussive lead.
