DJ Alma ∞ Omega / Maegan Melissa Gorbett dedicates her life’s work to weaving the succulent strands of Dance, Music, Embodiment, Transformation, Connection & Community as an offering of joy & purpose. Her drive is to serve the (collective/individual) healing of the past, help in midwifing the emergent-juicy-present of transformative-cultures, all while keeping in mind the wider vision, for future generations to come.

Alma is a DJ, Open Floor Embodied-Dance Teacher, Ritualist, Grief Tender, Holistic-Coach, Creatrix, Weaver, Rebel-Shape-shifter & Mid-wife for the Soul: for over 2 decades she has been weaving her path of the multi-dimensional/cross-cultural healing realms, alongside her passion & love for transformational-culture, underground-art, embodied-dance & earth-based-ritual.

As an embodied-artist, Alma’s passion is to create & hold spaces wherein we can remember the fabric of our humanity, our connection to divinity/source, and our intricate inter-connection to all of Life: by not bypassing the heart-aches & heart-quakes of life, but by inviting them to marinate and season our reasons for living.

Soy un apasionado por la Vida y caminante de las enseñanzas que propone con el propósito de recordar nuestro auténtico poder y los recursos que tenemos para crear un sendero pleno y abundante.

Nací y vivo en esta bellísima tierra llamada Uruguay.

Soy Músico, multiinstrumentista, compositor y cantante de lo que se denomina música medicina, musicoterapeuta y terapeuta Gestalt, brindando y compartiendo en cada círculo la palabra consciente y la comunicación honesta; herramientas que considero fundamentales para la sanación física y psico-espiritual y catalizadoras en el proceso de crecimiento del ser.

He tenido el honor de transitar aprendizajes con sanadores y maestros de Argentina, Perú y Brasil. Hoy retorno esos saberes con enorme humildad y siguiendo la tradición, al compartir diferentes rituales, círculos de palabra y ceremonias con Plantas Maestras y medicinas de la selva. 

Desde mi labor como músico, comparto periódicamente círculos de canto y armonización, danzas circulares y conciertos interactivos. Varios de mis lanzamientos musicales están disponibles en diferentes plataformas digitales.

La Música Medicina es un concepto ancestral, re-descubierto, proveniente de los orígenes del arte, cuyo principal propósito es brindar ayuda y sanación para el desarrollo de la consciencia.

Cuando decimos Música Medicina, hablamos de reservarle a la música un lugar en nuestra vida que va más allá del entretenimiento y de la diversión. Esta visión ayuda a sintonizar y a re-conectar con nuestra esencia.
