A universal truth that correctly dovetails the experience of our next Eardrop selecta. Tonchius has been meticulously following her digging instincts across the hidden spots in her native Norway. Legend has it that each and every record in this musical offering stems from the Norwegian permafrost, making it a pure and emboldening sequence from a close friend. It gives us great delight to lock it in on spot #5.

This 2 hour journey cast us straight back to that Neotropiq NYD party which lay just south of the river - where we heard him play track for track with SER006 contributor 'Trixie'. That morning really was one for the books... and this mix more than pays testament to that - with it's effortless weaving through melodic house records, deeply rooted UK-inspired breaks and deeper cuts reminiscent of that late 90s Chicago sound.

Ahead of the release of Serenity 001 a few days ago, we asked EP contributor John Shima to step up for the first of our mix series.

Shima's record 'Gravitron' was one of the key inspirations in deciding on the sound for this label, and everything he's made since day one has always been our go to. 

This Sheffield man is revered amongst heads for his impeccable production and dreamy synth lines. Not only that, but it turns out that he can put together a banging mix too. `

Following on from John Shima's expert 60 minutes for the opening of our mix series, Mihail P (the other half of 001's contributors) steps up to deliver another hour of floaty techno and synth-y breakbeat.

Much like Shima, Mihail P is revered for his amazing synth work and melodic production. The young Macedonian has quickly gathered a lot of attention, and rightfully so!
