"Emma's CatWalk" was made for my little girl's birthday party. The theme was a "fashion show", where my daughter and her friends all dressed up and walked down the "catwalk". My daughter liked this song, and giggled each time she heard the scream in it.

"La Muerte Liberal' ("Death Releases") is about the final throes of death. The agony and uncertainty. The remorse and the pain. The hope and the fear as everything slips away.

In the end, you let go of All That Remains. Your tight, clenched fists release; your foggy, confused mind clears. Nothing matters now. The darkness closes in and finally consumes you.

And then, it beings to rain….

Soft Parade

A short, musical journey from the chaos of the mistakes we make in life to a chance to make things better.

The main theme is repeated--much in the same way many of us keep making the same mistakes. But at the end, the guitar soars over the theme, to show us that we have a chance to redeem ourselves.

We may still be the same basic people underneath (much like the original theme), but we can rise above that when necessary.

Redemption

Think of it as a virus. Once it gets inside you, it begins to take over. As your fever rises, more sounds are added to the tune, making it more dense...and adding to the tension. Near the end, the virus launches its final push. Despite your body's defenses, the virus wins...and completely consumes you. Then, it settles down into "the new normal".

Or, think of it as three minutes and twenty seconds of odd noises. Either way, it's only a buck, if you want to buy it. (And the virus that's about to take you over insists you do.)

Oh...and that image of the virus? Yeah, don't worry--that's just the flu. Just get some rest and drink plenty of fluids. You'll be fine.

Insidious (Deeper Under Your Skin Edit)

"Out of blue comes green" refers to the process of healing. The early part of the tune is rather somber, while the ending is a bit more optimistic.

This is a short, experimental piece designed to sound like it was recorded in 1982, complete with tape noise, playback speed and synth tuning problems. For this piece, I stayed with synths, drum machines and effects that would have been available in that era.

All That Remains

Shadows of Life explores the darker sides, themes and emotions of life through instrumental music.

But just as these "darker sides of life" have many different shades of emotions (and are experienced differently by different people), Shadows of Life expresses those emotions through different styles of music...which can also be interpreted differently by different people.

Most of our music is synth-driven electronic, but you'll also hear soft pianos, riffing guitars, soaring melodies and other things not usually found in "electronic" music.

Influences: Duran Duran, a-Ha, The Cure, Depeche Mode, and of course, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Brian Wilson.... Honestly, I've stolen ideas from some of the best there ever was!
