Released on Summer Solstice 2021 and born from three world-renowned artists from three continents, “Jai Shiva Shankar” is the incredible new single by Franko Heke, Monica Dogra, and Mose. Call it what you will — serendipity, magic, destiny — something special brought these three vanguard artists together to create this 6-minute dance mantra combination. When it comes to the fusion of these genres, this is a first for New Zealand native Franko Heke, who remarks, “Jai Shiva Shankar is a mantra that came to me on my travels through India and it represents Shiva the creator, protector and transformer of the universe. Shiva and Shakti represent the masculine and feminine that resides in us all.” It is in Bali where Franko met Monica Dogra, the Indian-American powerhouse vocalist who has released five albums with Mumbaikar electronic duo Shaa’ir and Func. 

Gorgeous harmonies between Heke and Dogra breathe spiritual energy into this mantra-driven composition. Underneath and interwoven through the vocals we hear haunting Indian flute, Egyptian drums, tabla, and oud. Guatemala-based ecstatic dance DJ and producer Mose transforms the grounded rhythm section into a series of tasty grooves that are indulgently danceable and beckon for movement. This well-balanced piece repeats the title mantra “Jai Shiva Shankar” alongside instrumental and vocal bridges that are ethereal and rich with emotional energy, revealing that Franko Heke, Monica Dogra, and Mose are the healing trifecta we didn’t know we needed this summer solstice.

“Stand With Us to Bless the Waters” is our prayer of solidarity for the Lakota Sioux Nation, & all the Water Protectors who have converged in North Dakota Standing Rock Reservation at the Dakota Access Pipeline. This is the first time in centuries that all the indigenous nations of Turtle Island (America) have come together in unity & guardianship for our Earth. This unprecedented tribal convergence has been catalyzed by the pipeline, but is representative of something much larger & more profound than a protest. 

In support for the situation in North Dakota, Amani Friend (Liquid Bloom) and Summit Jaffe (Numatik) were both separately inspired to create music for water and prayer.  Coincidentally, the two tracks were both finished at the same time on fall equinox and they were also written in the same key, making it ideal to interweave them into a one unified piece of music. While sitting in the New Mexico Hot Springs after Unify festival, Amani and Summit had the inspiration to curate this remix album. Producers from all over the world, like Earth Cry, Mystral, Soulacybin, Martin’s Garden, Ecometric, Gumi, and Twin Shape added their unique psychedelic downtempo flavors. Native elders like Black Fox Pomani, John Ball Running Eagle, and Yona FrenchHawk imbued the music with intentional water prayers. United together, we humbly offer this medicinal musical journey in support and healing. Water is Life!

The Wise Women: The wise woman leads as her voice of authority and she leads through her kind heart. She is a womb centred woman and her voice echoes her instinctual wisdom and deep heart knowing.

Shakti Queen: She is a queen for she is not afraid to be seen in her vulnerability or her power. She shines her radiant light upon all beings she touches. The Queen is an ecstatic devotee of Divine and her life is lived through the heart in service and in surrender to Love.

Shaman's Dream is a musical prayer for healing, transformation, love, and happiness for all beings.

Sahuna Love (Founder of Shaman's Dream) is a Multi-percussionist, DJ, Music Producer, Medicine Ceremony Facilitator, and Healing Arts Practitioner. Sahuna is inspired by the spiritual musical lineages from around the globe and the healing power of the drum. Every Shaman's Dream offering is a ceremony and opportunity for all who receive the music to create an intention and prayer for their own lives, utilizing the music as medicine.

Shaman’s Dream, Sahuna's multi-faceted music collective, has been at the forefront of the yoga, festival and ecstatic dance music scene, since 1995. As a producer and the musical director he's facilitated hundreds of ecstatic dance/ “live” world music concerts, plus countless live music for yoga classes and ritual retreats. Sahuna's other projects included being the co-founder of Yogitunes - www.yogitunes.com - an online digital music store that features a huge selection of yoga inspired music, Co-Producer of Ecstatic Dance Retreats, and co-producer of Desert Dwellers projects –Waves, Flames, Roots, and many other Downtempo music projects. 

As a percussionist, Sahuna has performed with countless music producers and performers such as: Porangui,  Bluetech, Desert Dwellers, Kaminanda, David Starfire, Yaima, FreQ Nasty, Jason Hann (EOTO& String Cheese), Isaac Chambers, Jai Uttal, Krishna Das, Dave Stringer, C.C. White, Donna De Lory, Tina Malia, Chris Berry and many others. 

Presently, Craig is performing and helping to produce/ stage manage for many of the transformational festivals and yoga/ ecstatic dance communities all over the world.
