Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

The Minoan civilization was a Bronze Age Aegean civilization on the island of Crete and other Aegean Islands, whose earliest beginnings were from c. 3500 BC, with the complex urban civilization beginning around 2000 BC, and then declining from c. 1450 BC until it ended around 1100 BC, during the early Greek Dark Ages It represents the first advanced civilization in Europe, leaving behind a number of massive building complexes, sophisticated art, and writing systems. Its economy benefited from a network of trade around much of the Mediterranean. The name "Minoan" derives from the mythical King Minos and was coined by Evans, who identified the site at Knossos with the labyrinth and the Minotaur. The Minoan civilization has been described as the earliest of its kind in Europe, and many historians called the Minoans "the first link in the European chain". The Minoan civilization is particularly notable for its large and elaborate palaces up to four storeys high, featuring elaborate plumbing systems and decorated with frescoes. The largest Minoan palace is that of Knossos, followed by that of Phaistos. The function of the palaces, like most aspects of Minoan governance and religion, remains unclear. Orkidz loves journeys into the deep blue when everything is under the spell of the Moon. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These three tracks will take a place in your heart. How can electronic music be a soul music? The founder DJs of Pure Lust Daniel Santiago and Daniel Ban from Budapest, know exactly this. The secret of their success is to find a mixture of styles that blend downtempo, a little bit of rock, and more spirited folk motifs, on house and electronic basis. This mixture results in a deep yet dancefloor friendly sounds. The secret component is the appropriate proportion of styles. They always tell something through music and give a dynamic and fresh experience to the people. 

Their team involves 3 more local DJs and producers: Mirmur, Kristof Kelemen and Marcello Baptiste. Each of them represents Pure Lust's vision of music, all in an exciting way, including live or hybrid sets.

The team has been a guest of many international performers: 
Acid Pauli, Christian Löffler, Satori, Rampue, Stimming, NU, Parra For Cuva, Viken Arman, Hraach, Just Emma, Be Svendsen, Rodrigo Gallardo, MoM, Britta Arnold, Jacob Groening, Billy Caso, Zigan Aldi to mention a few.
They organise events in local infamous clubs, such as TOLDI, A38, PONTOON and play at many other venues and festivals, like O.Z.O.R.A, Kolorádó.

The guys continuously work or collaborate with local musicians, djs, artists, and collectives doing A&R and this became so important for them that they named the project "Hazai Nyitás", which is also a name for a monthly event series at TOLDI.

PALE PENGUIN’s one of the key figures in Greek electronic scene. Based in Thessaloniki, Greece, he’s been djing for almost 20 years being one of the best Greek Breaks/Techno/Tech-House djs. In his portfolio there are appearances in big festivals (Sola Luna, Balkan Voices, Urban Rhythm, Reworks, Butterfly, Spring Festen) alongside Slam, Felix Da Housecat, Dave Angel, Luke Slater, Dominic Eulberg, Modeselektor, Rob Luis (Tru Thoughts), Coldcut, Octave One, Eddie Piller etc, and many venues throughout Greece and Europe. He has done warm-ups to artists likes Rjd2, Thievery Corporation, Richard Dorfmeister, Nightmares On Wax, Kid Loco, Mushroom (Massive Attack), Frank Popp, Bjorn Torske, Bentley’s Rhythm Ace, Snowboy, Hooverphonic etc. He was one of the first radio producers playing Breaks/Drum n’Bass and Electronica in his legendary “Tricknology”, “Brainwash” and “Cinematica Paradiso” radio shows.  Since 2003 he’s resident dj in Bar/Club Elvis, Thessaloniki, Greece presenting Friday “BreakTech” nights in which he has hosted Meat Katie, Lee Coombs, Tom Real, Malente, Andy Smith, Ursula 1000, Smacs & Crazy Sonic, Lee Bass and Aidan Lavelle. He was also resident dj to legendary club Liebe, Thessaloniki, Greece in which he has done warm-up sets for Meat Katie, Kevin Saunderson, AtJazz, Break The Box etc. He has done exclusive mix sets for many net radios (Ibreaks Radio, NSB Radio, Breakbeat.Ca site, NuBreaks Radio), exclusive mix CD’s (“Battle Of The Breaks” series) for Freeze magazine, he has performed dj sets in Thessaloniki’s International Fair, Thessaloniki’s International Film Festival, has took part many times (as member of the djs team) in the biggest Balkans Hip-Hop/Breakdance/Funky Breaks event “Battle Of The Year/Balkans”, and in many clubs throughout Europe (Flex Club/Vienna, Arttheater Club/Cologne, Art & Dance/Cologne, Rivolli/London, Club Montepulciano/London, South London Pacific/London). HIs production activities begun with SCOPITONE CONSPIRACY & POZITRONIC RAY and since 2006 he’s member of THE SCIENTIFICS-a Breaks project which have released singles and remixes for labels like V.I.M.Breaks, Erase, Basstard, Yellow Finger Communications, Warriorz Music, performed live throughout Greece, Italy and Germany, and being presented in many sites, radios, forums (BreakinAsia, Breakbeat Canada, Annie Nightingale Radio 1 Show, Ibreaks Radio, NSB Radio, Nu Breaks Radio etc). Since early 2007, together with Echonomist and Mr.Lookman, launched and manages V.I.M. (Very Important Music) Records, releasing quality Breaks, Tech-House, Electronica singles and albums by many International and Greek artists. From the beginning of 2009 he has formed with KID STRETCH the Funky/Disco-Breaks project PALE THE KID. Focused mainly on Electro Disco-Breaks sound they have managed to release stuff for Breakbeat Paradise, V.I.M.Breaks, Dirty Drop, Warriorz Music and Timewarp Music. In the beginning of 2011 together with STAMA he had launched DIABLO LOCO RECORDS, a label specialized on top quality Tech-Breaks/Tech-Funk releases. DIABLO LOCO RECORDS managed to do an awesome start with awesome singles and remixesand gained BREAKSPOLL 2012 BEST NEW BREAKS LABEL AWARD.
