Zoltan Fecso is a musician and composer from Naarm/Melbourne, Australia. 
Using limitation as a discipline, Zoltan’s pointillist compositions combine single notes of varying lengths to form ever-changing patterns. Zoltan’s music reveals underlying complexities in simple forms and explores the mental and physical impact of active listening.
Zoltan's music can be found on Hush Hush Records (USA) The Slow Music Movement (PT), Shimmering Moods (NL) and Whitelabel Records (UK). He has performed and presented work in festivals, venues and galleries in Australia and Europe.

Rinnovare is the project of BC artist Matteo Neufeld. Despite the challenges that came with 2020, he graced the year with many releases. Accompanied on strings by partner Chloe Davidson, and production engineering form Andrew Judah. The first being his modern-classical / dream pop EP titled Aperturia. The next was a double single release with label Ambientologist, from the Netherlands. Followed after that was Rinnovare's re - release of his long sought-after record Suspended Animation. This being an album that was traced around many countries, over the span of six years. It evolved into being a dense, rhythmic & reflective collection of modern-classical, post-rock and ambient hybrid. During the summer of 2020, Rinnovare began to write & record Held Under All, the upcoming record being released on Shimmering Moods Records, from Amsterdam. This is Rinnovare's most nuanced, minimalist, calming & seductive album to date. Featuring acclaimed artist collaborations such as Benoît Pioulard, Voga & Bedroom, a cohesive & sprawling display of wash, texture & beauty has been manifested here. Mixed by Slow Meadow, and mastered by Rafael Anton Irisarri, Rinnovare has continuously pursued crystal clear production aesthetic, contrasted with raw & organic atmosphere all over.

An On Bast is the moniker of electronic music producer and composer Anna Suda from Wrocław, Poland. Her largely improvised concerts, utilising hardware instruments, hop between techno with melodies, experimental and ambient genres. 

2006 marked the beginning of Anna’s illustrious career when her debut album was published and she was subsequently selected from thousands of candidates to participate in the Red Bull Music Academy in Melbourne. 
Vehemently active for the past 14 years within the international electronic music scene, her challenging approach into the research of high-powered sounds and textures is the cornerstone of her live electronic and techno groove. The unique combination of her rich imagination and excellent technical ability allows her to deliver exceptional musical experiences. 

The deep and understanding relationship between Anna and her machines is instantly apparent during her performances as she glides effortlessly from modular synthesizer to drum machine via effects units. The results of these performances capture both the audiences ear and eye, immersing and encapsulating them in the entity that is An On Bast.

Anna has released a number of EPs and nine solo albums. Not only she releases them on her own Ghost Kitchen, Suda also collaborates with labels across the globe, her music is published by record labels in Germany, Great Britain, Portugal, Australia, USA and China. 
As well as her innovative electronic achievements Anna also eagerly reinterprets classical works of art. „The Rite of Spring” by Stravinsky as well as Chopin, Wieniawski and film music by Penderecki. She also works with sound design, creates music for movies, installations, modern dance performances and everything where music adds meaning and colour. 
She conducts workshops on the production of electronic music in modular synthesis as well as a vast array of electronic music technology and the digital audio workstation Ableton Live.

Duenn (Fukuoka, Japan) is an electronic musician and composer producing minimal works, using a minimum source of equipment. Through collaborations with other artists, both sonic and visual, Duenn seeks an expansion of self. In 2017, Duenn formed the experimental collaborative unit 3RENSA with Merzbow and Nyantora 
His new album " 新しい環境 "with Japanese sound artist Sleepland will be released on Shimmering Moods this month.

SqrtSigil is the solo project of Maciek Jaciuk (30 Kilo Słonca, Ak Uki, mothertape) and is one of the founders of the Plaża Zachodnia label. 

The project was founded in 2014, since then it has evolved both musically and in terms of equipment, in the meantime abandoning sequencers to play free impro. 
Since its inception, it has released several (mostly) cassettes, including for Swedish label Purlieu Recordings. and UK's Tone Burst. 
Noisy, crackling, experimental pulses are complemented by unreal and hypnotic ambient, where fragments of field recordings often play an important role, full of quiet conversations, sighs and whispers. Everything is submerged in fuzzy sound blurs, in which one can hear unidentified micro-sounds, textures, murmurs and rustles with emerging dub bass pulsations or fragments of beat. 
He performs live sporadically, as he convinces us, he treats it as playing "in the bedroom", to soothe the nerves after a day full of noise and chaos... In his free time he builds synths and finds joy in creating short audio-visual forms.

Cerrus (pronunciation: /ˈker.rus/, [ˈkɛr.rʊs]), a producer based in London, doing open ended off the grid work that speaks to minimal but deep and dubby. 
His music phase shifts between windows streaked with rain smearing the lights from the high rise opposite into a smudged polaroid vision.

Kagami Smile is from an industrial city a few hours from Chicago and spends some of his time in the futuristic sprawl of Shenzhen, China. He takes influence from shoegaze records as well as minimal techno labels such as Chain Reaction and Modern Love. His most recent output of music focuses on minimal meditative synthwork reminiscent of early Aphex Twin and strong nods to Japanese video game soundtracks as well as the concept of liminal spaces. His music reflects a series of recurring dreams had since 2017, that of a missed moment with a stranger. His compositions are usually filled with nostalgia and romance as well as a haze of urban solitude. He has released on labels such as Dream Catalogue, Tekres, SOVN, Gin&Platonic, as well as an upcoming album on Opal Tapes and Sores (Sound+Matter) from Sweden. He will also release an album on Shimmering Moods this year.

Mainly known for his intense, beat-driven post-club sound, found on releases for Opal Tapes, Yerevan Tapes and Noorden among others, Evitceles debuted on Shimmering Moods in 2020 with an immersive collection of atmospheric pieces (shimmeringmoodsrecords.bandcamp.com/album/somnambulant-fog) 

Even in his most aggressive and complex works, Bulgarian producer Etien Slavchev has always managed to find a place for transparent and moody ambient layers, giving his music an overwhelming sense of nostalgia and melancholy.

We’re very excited to unveil our latest signing Safety Model and their debut EP Hymnal!

“The red pours from the blue, as we remain luminous, forever scorching under the light.”

‘Hymnal’ is a series of hymns, simultaneously heavy but weightless, empty yet filled with light, each carrying its distinct sensory color. Dedicated to friends and the self, and guided by four meditative but disconcerting pieces, Safety Model takes us on a journey through the kaleidoscopic gauge of existence as life’s forces press, lift, and shake the body and mind.

The EP opens with ‘Point Blank’, closest in proximity to one’s truest essence. Enveloping sounds lull you into their embrace as brittle mechanical textures weave in and out, provoking the senses into fight or flight. Capturing the moment of waking to the self, magnifying the friction between shock and surrender, between fight and acquiescence, the body registers that which cannot be registered. Loss of memories, of love, of life, of self. Point Blank is represented by the color yellow.

‘Feathers (City)’ is the sonic incarnate of colossal yet fragile brutalist spaces; dusty basements that collapse into expansive cityscapes, perpetually decomposing and reassembling through the hymn’s aural extremes. Grounded, heavy textures are interwoven with waves of gauzy synths like wings; harshness and violence meet subtle femininity, reflecting the tension of the inescapable sensory burden of urban life. ‘Feathers (City)’ is represented by the color red.

‘Where The Lights Don’t Fall, They Press Down Instead’ is the moment of light intruding on the inner self, when even closed eyelids cannot shield the soul. A forced reflection, abstraction as touch, emulating the sense of brightness pressing down. An intimate ballad with operatic falsetto vocals accompanied by levitating resonances of rusted tone, offering a glimpse into the future of Safety Model. Where The Lights Don’t Fall, They Press Down Instead is represented by the color green.

‘Fall Of Self’ is the final acceptance: the scattered memories don’t and won’t matter. With its stretched strings ringing for an indiscernible duration, suspending time through a seemingly endless crescendo, ‘Fall Of Self’ serves as the temporal counterpart to ‘Point Blank’. A hymn to safety, endurance, and reflection. ‘Fall Of Self ‘is represented by the color blue.

‘Hymnal’ will be released October 3rd via Changeless.

I find wind chimes fascinating, especially when the breeze is very faint.  However, there are days in the autumn when gusts of wind are quite strong.  Last week, on my daily walk, small branches were being blown around, adding to the exhilaration.  Today’s #MusicalMinute replicates an ensemble of wind chimes with underlying movements of air.  What do you think?
