The project is an ambient performance based on modular synthesizers and rhythmic foundations created with an MPC. The origin of the project came from the exploration and listening to sounds throughout the winter of 2023-2024 in his studio in Malta.

The idea was to use the studio’s machines, keyboards, and modular systems, listening to random sounds coming directly from them. The sounds that resonated with us the most were selected to shape what would become the final live performance.

Recorded live at Perpendicular 2024 (@espacio-perpendicular) - somewhere in the woods. When? Sunday 10:30 Where? main stage.

Perpendicular is a self managed and private festival held somewhere in the woods of central Spain.

「ワーカホリックな慌ただしい平日をどうにかくぐり抜け、ようやくたどり着いた日曜日。のんびりとリラックスしながら気ままに休日を過ごす彼の心には、時間の経過とともにいつしか“void= 空虚感” が漂い始めていた…。」
近年再び盛り上がりを見せる“Ambient～NewAge～Tape カルチャー” をキーワードに、やけのはら、P-RUFF、H.TAKAHASHI の3人によって結成されたアンビエント•ユニット、UNKNOWN ME。1 作目となる今回、彼らがスポットを当てたのは“日曜日”。
まるで窓から差し込む日光のような、浮遊感のあるやわらかい音像と丸みを帯びたリズム。日が傾くにつれて、それらが重なり溶け合ってまどろみへと誘う。夜が深まり徐々に立ち現れる、スペイシーなトリップ感を帯びたアンビエンス。“誰も知らない誰か” の休日の過ごし方にフォーカスし、起床～就寝までの時間の移ろいを軸として展開する、ウォーミーでリラクシンな30 分。
DJ、ラッパー、トラックメイカー、執筆家として様々なシーンを縦横無尽に横断し独自の活動を続けるやけのはら。DJ 活動と並行してレーベルradloop を主宰、7inch 作品のリリースを重ねるP-RUFF。Entertainment Systems、Where To Now? Recordings 等、海外レーベルからもカセット作品をリリースするアンビエント作家H. TAKAHASHI 。
3 人がそれぞれ持つバックグラウンドや音の個性が絶妙に交わることで、奇跡的に生み出されたアンビエント•カセットが、やけのはらのレーベル“NOPPARA TAPES” のリリース第一弾として少量限定リリース！

"He withstood workaholic weekdays, finally arrived Sunday. While he spends relax and take it easy, he feels void unawares.."

"Ambient~New Age~ TAPE culture" showed a climax in recent years, Yakenohara,P-RUFF,H. Takahashi set it as keyword, and start an ambient unit, "UNKNOWN ME".

For their first album, they shed a spotlight on Sundays.
Their floating and soft sound and rounded rhythm like sunlight coming through window.
These blend into each other as a day inclines, and invite you to slumber.
Night deepens, ambience with a feeling of trip appears little by little.
This album which focus on how someone spends a day off, express passage of time to going to bed from getting up, is warm and relaxing 30 minutes.

Yakenohara, he actives widely as DJ, rapper, track maker, and writer.
P-RUFF, he presides the label "radloop" side by side DJ activity, and release 7 inch works.
H. Takahashi, he is an ambient artist who releases cassettes by world labels such as Entertainment systems, Where To Now? Recordings etc...

The 3 backgrounds and the personality of sounds are crossed exquisitely, the ambient cassette is in this way produced miraculously.

"Memory Record" is the second solo album from LA based producer Danny Scott Lane who released his debut album "How To Empty A Cup" on Shimmering Moods Records last spring. "Memory Record" is an album with a unique vision, encapsulated by its wide palette including woody percussion, bells, morphing synthesizers, natural field recordings, plucky keys, early-digital synth tones and warm, aqueous pads. Accompanying Lane on many of these tunes is the gorgeous flute of Ei Talley II. 

"Memory Record" derives its name and purpose from Lane’s grandfather who after being diagnosed with Alzheimers gifted Lane and his brother microcassette recorders and encouraged them to record and document their memories in a physical form. Taking his advice to heart, Lane sculpted the meandering and fleeting feeling of memories beautifully on "Memory Record". 

Meditative, descriptive, his albums are progressions of sound that integrate environment with a perky, observant, curious and bright personality. 

The records, "How to Empty a Cup" and the new "Memory Record" can be understood as an ongoing series of mental iterations and exploration of genre, with one consistent creative mind behind each. Both chimey, consistent, a walking pace, they ask us to participate in the observation of small details.
