With "Onda", Regensburg artist Markus Guentner releases his follow-up to Empire, which appeared on A Strangely Isolated Place in 2021.

"Onda" captivates with its orchestral-like progressions, an endlessly interwoven carpet of sound that spreads out over six etudes. As if in slow motion, he scans through the individual sound particles, works out details, lets dust fall from the source material, cores, connects and in the end lets everything flow...

"Onda" will be released on May 5, 2023 as CD and digital download. It was mastered at Artefacts Mastering Studio in Berlin and graphically designed by Markus Guenter...

This week a great encounter thanks to TREVE network, we have the chance to have Sulk Rooms, pseudonym of Yorkshire based composer Thomas Ragsdale, the music of Sulk Rooms draws the link between euphoric electronica and smoke engulfed drones. 
Slow-morphing textures sequence and cascade, encapsulating intimate moments of colliding sound amongst fluttering arpeggios and transcending synth builds.

A predominant soundtrack artist included in many of Adam Curtis’ groundbreaking BBC documentaries as well as scoring BBC true crime series, Netflix features and Prada commercials, Sulk Rooms is part of Domino Publishing’s prestigious composer roster.

Atmospheric music for the head alongside the heart, Sulk Rooms' music captures spontaneous audio mirages and saturated imperfections within a crushing backdrop of low end and harmonic ferocity.
Electric soundscapes and rising techno map Sulk Rooms' universe where panoramic pulses fuel adrenaline charged synths to feelings of both wonder and unease.

Tocca il Futuro invites the experimental cellist and composer @martinabertoni on @lyl_radio. Her music channels emotional and physical depths, while exploring the liminal spaces between perception of space and sound, through compositional and performing practices aimed to challenge the listener’s experience. Classically trained cellist, Bertoni developed her research and practices around experimental and film music, for which her cello and her original works are featured in numerous works and soundtracks for films, series and documentaries. Expect some experimental ambience morphing into somewhat electronic-minimal style.

Since he was 14 Ishtadi embraced the yoga practice and later extensively travelled India, living with monks, nuns, siddhas, saddhus, yogis, musicians and a variety of therapists and healers. His mission is to transform these ancient experiences of knowledge into contemporary immersive culture.

Ishtadi interweaves sounds of nature to musical landscapes, combining field-recordings with electronic synthesis, organic rhythms and harmonies. Awakening the genetically imprinted being inside, inviting the body and mind to slow down, in order to dive deep - into the now.

Ishtadi is the founder of VibroAcoustics, Nature Tales, Ecstatic Dance Copenhagen, Nordic Ecstatic Dance Association, Cacao CPH and a variety of concert and party concepts.

In sanskrit, “Ishtadi” means purification of the senses - the prerequisite of being absorbed in presence.
