Sentient Songs is a sonic collaboration with the biospiritual powers that be. Each of the eleven pieces on this album are sovereign living breathing sound worlds unto themselves, with their own aspirations distinct from the artist's intentions. The music is less composed than discovered or excavated, and it is my hope and suspicion that it originates in a realm beyond my ability to comprehend. My sincere thanks to Gautam Karnik and Henry Koek for their beautiful musical contributions, to bitzone for bringing it into focus, and to Shimmering Moods Records for making this release a reality.

Havanna is the lo-fi home DIY creative sound & music project of Hannah Amy Evans, South Wales, UK. Previously named White Fawn, a project that I created in 2012 as part of my University degree.

The mission of Havanna is to develop & share knowledge, wisdom, & imagination through sound & music.

Thanks to  Bill Laswell and Bob for keeping the faith. As Bob says ""I had no song in my repertoire for commercial radio. I sang about debauched bootleggers, mothers who drowned their own children, Cadillacs with only 5 miles to the gallon, union hall fires, floods. Darkness and cadavers at the bottom of rivers wasn’t for radio. There was nothing easy-going about the folk songs I sang. They weren’t friendly or ripe with mellowness. They didn’t come gently to the shore." NB The Radio KaraGkatsu eps are aural worlds without number; a sonic ventures interweaving music, sound, comedy, audiobook extracts, film dialogue, poetry, interviews, soundscapes and goobledegook.

I'm an avant-garde musician. I like to experiment with software, instruments, and everyday objects when creating on a song.

Music is my latest artistic passion; aside from being deeply invested in making music, I create digital art, drawings, paintings, mixed-media pieces, photography, photomanipulations, poetry, and short stories. All of which can be found on my DeviantArt: Leehon.
