Praful is a multi-instrumental artist, vocalist & live looping master of a New Era. His music is a crossover and live channeling of ethnic/traditional and modern styles, drawing inspiration from indigenous folk songs, sacred chants, South-American & European styles, Indian ragas, shamanic trance, Jazz and world electronic music. It comes from the heart, as an expression of gratitude to the mystery and sacredness of life on Earth, as a call for celebration.
As he drops into the space between the notes and weaves his spell, he invites soul searching, calling you to journey towards that which is of the highest calibre within you. “…it’s like the universe is making love to me.”

Ethereal sounds of handpan and heartful melodies of bansuri, ancient frequencies and harmonies, shamanic beats and psychedelic soundscapes - folk and classical music with modern production technology, depth of indian classical music with mystical celtic magic.

I am classically trained on the indian Bansuri, Sitar, and Japanese Shakuhachi. I like to blend styles and often play variations on Indian ragas on the Shakuhachi with Japanese styling. Most of my work involves music for meditation and yoga classes. Although occasionally I get into blues and Jazz.

A musician for many years with a background of jazz drums, percussion and piano, Pumpernickle is now devotedly hurtling through space and time pursuing electronic music production and spinning tunes. Since 2012 the dj persona has had the primary focus, attaining a successful run through some of Australia’s major festivals, regular visits to the Melbourne club scene and an invitation to residency in Turkey’s 2016 summer (of course I went.. right in the middle of 2016's military coup... what a trip that was...). With a diverse musical palette, ranging from Ambient/experimental, World/Jazz, through Electronica, House, downtempo and main room Techno, Pumpernickle is becoming known as an intelligent and creative voice in the Australian electronic music scene. 
2017 and beyond sees his focus being channelled into studio production… great times of experimentation lie ahead bridging modular synthesis, live drums, techno, ambient, electronica, visions of a live solo show emerging… dreams of creating a 40ft school bus/motorhome/music studio and returning to Europe… Above all else, following a unifying desire to live this short life fully; engulfed by passion and purpose, exploring the fields of consciousness and human potential and just hopefully… helping others and making the world a better place at the same time…
