“The Tara that can be understood cannot be a cosmic Tara. The Tara that can be expressed in words, cannot be the infinite Tara. Yet Tara is the source of everything.” This quotation is adapted from the Tao de Ching by Laozi and encapsulates how we need to think in order to approach Tara. Rinpoche introduces us to Tara and guides us to make a connection with her, both through elaborate pujas and in simple, unelaborated, daily practice.

Teachings given on March 8, 2013 by Lama Tsering Gyaltsen, a founding teacher, at Saraha Nyingma Buddhist Institute in Eugene, Oregon, USA on the subject "The Six Bardo's - The Intermediate States of Existence" 

“Bardo” is a Tibetan word meaning literally “between two,” which in Buddhism refers to the idea that within Samsara all states of existence are not static, but are actually continuous, successive, ordered facets of beginningless transition.  What we usually refer to as “life and death” are only two among the six bardos that are traditionally enumerated. 

Each Bardo has its own form of expression and development, and each presents beings with unique opportunities for the realization of enlightenment, or for advancement toward enlightenment, or conversely for decline into greater suffering.  Bardo teachings such as these are an important key to knowing where we are, which way to go, and  how to proceed.

On February 28, 2013, at the invitation of Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche gave a teaching on "Je Tsongkhapa's Instructions" to the students of Rangjung Yeshe Institute in Ka-Ning Shedrub Ling, Kathmandu, Nepal.

Rinpoche taught Je Tsongkhapa's famous text in verse, "The Three Principles of the Path".  He expounded on the three essential features of the path to enlightenment: renunciation, Bodhicitta and wisdom, as well as the relationship between them.
