TO FEEL HUMAN

Its still early days, but i am planning on this being either track number 1 or 2 of my new upcoming LP (name still yet to be confirmed).

This track started off as a very positive and uplifting melody that i have had for a while. I decided to add it to a beat which i recently came up with (Drum, Bass and Rhythmic synths). It sounded pretty good when i started adding counter melodies. But then i wondered if i could litterally take the track and turn it on its head, and invert the whole mood and sound of it. I kept that same beat going and created probably my nastiest sounding stuff to date lol! So its a track of contrasts, i may play with the structure down the line, so not a final version just yet!

French electronic producer and Larmes label (@larmes) head Clarence Park injects his distinctive dark atmospheric droning touch along a slow-pace of relentless steady punchy thud kicks and rumbling crunchy snare beats, interspersed by screaming, creaking, hissing noises, shrouded in overflowing eerie and foreboding synth flows to build a huge enveloping sense of impending desolation and primitive fear.

"We had been hitting the road every few months or so for a while, each time throwing together a cassette release consisting largely of live recordings. in late June we had initially been invited to the Northern Nevada desert to play a festival alongside mostly EDM folks to basically a "Burning Man" type crowd (for real), and were just about to start booking spots for the way out and back when, like for practically everybody else in the world, THINGS CHANGED and plans were made moot.
So, this is sort of an untitled "E-tour tape" for the trip that was to be but never was.
Audio is from live sets recorded in Spokane WA, Eugene OR, Tacoma WA, and a private home jam in Seattle.
We put out a CD-r on Chocolate Monk last year, and have done a handful of streams in the current plague time, all with quite international lineups, yes indeed."

Forrest Friends have been slithering around between the cracks in Seattle since the mid-oughts or so, and have been playing shows thereabouts mostly regularly, without fitting comfortably in any line-up.
The last few years we've been hitting the road more and playing some fairly random towns that avant-garde projects would scarcely bother with, as there seems to be little to no existing scene for such things, and also never taking nights off, opting to instead find an alleyway, parking lot, public park, riverside, art walk to pull up to with a generator and a PA, trying as best we can to let locals know ahead of time that something weird is about to go down.
