great recording. thank you for sharing the story behind the tractor too. i wonder what people would think this sounds like if it wasn't stated...really unique the more you listen.

Cannot believe I've just listend to 3 min of tractor... even harder to believe I'm going to say "awesome track"—but yeah. Wow. What an atmosphere you created here!

Memum : Enviro Scape

A field recording of a vintage John Deere tractor from the 1930s. The recording consists of the tractor starting up, idling and then powering down. Recorded from a few different perspectives and presented as one mix of these various recordings. 

The tractor was purchased by a friend's great-grandfather in the 1950's and has been part of the family ever since; it now belongs to her father.
