Downplay is proud to welcome back Bristol-based producer Fork and Knife to the label for his brand new release “Phonecall”.

‘Phonecall’ is a dazzling mix of garage, grime and synthwave, extrapolating the core energies from each genre to create something unique in it’s own right. Melancholy keys wash over skeletal percussion to produce a mood that immediately transports you into a cyberpunk fantasy.

Second track ‘Tiny Cat’ takes a similar approach, this time melding it’s beguiling ambience with traces of chiptune for a melodic 2-step bubbler that is truly refreshing.
